Las Cuevas de Sorbas—WOW! There are several levels; we visited the medium-hard one, and I had an amazing experience. The intricate formations and the sense of adventure as you navigate through REALLY narrow passages—wriggling on your belly, sliding on your back, or hiking with wet walls—are unforgettable.
This natural space hasn’t been outfitted with lights or ropes; it’s a real adventure, so it’s important to be fit and healthy and not suffer from claustrophobia, as the exploration requires some serious physical agility (Not suitable for all audiences)
A must visit for nature lovers and adventure seekers! But Please bear in mind you will get dirty as it's a cave!! BUT it's part of the fun! ☺️😍🙌🏼
Thank you to our guide for being patient and making the visit...
Read moreWe had a lovely time exploring the fantastic cave today. Expertly guided by Heike who is friendly and informative, we scrabbled over and under surprisingly tight passageways that made us wonder just how challenging the more advanced tours must be. Don't wear your best clothes as it is dusty and in one place, wet as you have to crawl through a tight bit. My wife and I are reasonably agile but it would cause problems for visitors that weren't so capable. Bring a torch too as they supply safety helmets with a built in torch but an extra one really helps. You have to book online before you go and definitely no dogs in case you're wondering. We went in mid-November and it was just the two of us with no waiting involved. Thanks...
Read moreGreat experience - and very educational. Guided tours through the caves available in several languages. We booked the basic route and it was quite easy, as described on their website, while still thrilling. If you're lucky, you can see bats. We loved it and next time we are definitely going to try the more demanding 4-hour route. It's not cold at all, some 19-20 degrees, so no need to dress warm, although it's good to have long trousers to protect your knees. But some people in our group had shorts and they did not complain either. You'll get a helmet with a headlight. Just be aware that you have to book atleast 24 hours in advance. Definitely...
