This place is a must visit. I am quite surprised by the negative reviewers on here but hopefully you will experience this place the same way i did. I only have 1 negative about hills which ive mentioned in detail below in the zoo area of my review. The Western Side On arrival we were greeted by a nice wooden western bridge with the otherside being the typical western style huge wooden wall like a fort containing the western town. It looks Brill! You will be mithered on entry for a photo opportunity however if you politely say no thanks and keep walking, you won't be dragged back/ forced into it. Unless you want to obviously... Firstly, the thing you have to remember is that this place was built for tv and so, is a film set. Some reviews are negative purely because they were expecting a real full on western town. You will notice some buildings are empty and some look to be 2 floors but on closer inspection the top floor is just a dummy and actually doesnt exist (has no roof etc!) However, do not be put off, there are quiet a few you can enter like the church, gift shop, fire station, sheriff's office and not to mention the saloon where you can drink!! And catch the show of the cowgirls. I thought it was brilliant!! Some reviews have said it is too busy inside the saloon however, we were a group of 8 and all got a seat and had plenty of room to squeeze in 100s more!! There is also a western show that runs a few times a day outside which was ok... its in Spanish so you don't really know whats going on apart from some guy being shot at numerous times and eventually hung... could be a little too much for the younger ones but it was entertaining enough. Once you have had enough of the western side move onto the zoo :) The Zoo Side Now the zoo i thought was fantastic. Im an animal lover and i thought they all looked well cared for with plenty of space. A lot of money looks to have gone into this area and it's very clean and tidy. The best bit for me was the amphibian enclosure. It was brilliant. See the photos!! The zoo has; lions, cheetahs, leopards, rhino, hippo, giraffe, meerkats and a small bat tank!! With plenty more. There is also an outside pool if you need to cool off however, this was extremely busy so we quickly changed direction away from it. The views around the place were amazing as you're sort of in a valley. Which brings me to the probably 1 negative i have. There's a pretty steep, long hill to go down if you want to see half the animals and then go back up... if you're disabled/ wheel chair user, you may want to ask if there are staff to help as it is honestly long and steep. There is a free train though to help you round once you get to the bottom!!!! The facilities of the place were Brill. Very clean and plentiful however i do recommend taking your own food and drink as it could be pretty costly. Our all inclusive hotel made us a packed lunch so go ask if you are AI!! Don't forget sun cream. It was 31 degrees out there and you're in a desert so it will be roasting hot most days! Enjoy my photos and give me a like! :)

We visited Oasys Mini Hollywood Monday in the middle of June, 2019. Let me start with a significant info: our jorney to the park took more then 3 hours of driving without stops. Our small company of friends, all adults, we all really worried to not find anything good enough in the end of this long trip. We even googled "What to do in Almeria" just in case of the worst scenario. We arrived close to the beginning of the first western show I think it was 11am. There was no queue at the entrance hence we didn't spend much time buying tickets. Here is the first advice: you might prefer to buy ticket with lunch. The food was amazingly tasty and the assortment was huge: chips, paella, pasta, roasted vegetables, different kinds of meat dishes, fish, prawns, sea fruits, assortment of cheese and breads. Dessert table was delelicious: cakes, jellies, cereals and yoghurts, fruits and near all of that fridge with icecream. The show was interesting and after the final gunshot we started our photo session. OMG, there are plenty of great locations for your pictures. CanCan show was a good reason to make a pause in photoshooting and relax in a pub enjoying very good beer. And now it's lunch time, please find my second advice: try to get to the restaurant as early as possible to find there the fool variety of food. After lunch we decided to stay in the pool. Probably it wasn't the best decision. I'd rather made a quick walk--around the zoo first and after that would swim and relax in jacuzzi till the end of Oasys working hours. The zoo is big and you can get tired, so it's better not to put it in the end of to-do list. Our day in Mini Hollywood was an amazing. It was worth to drive so long for that unforgettable fun experience and beautiful pictures.

I went here for my 50th as I’m a huge Sergio leone fan, I booked through Pepetours and was delighted with our bus driver who spoke English and Spanish as we headed to our destination very funny and lots of info shared, the views on the way were amazing and I was excited to visit mini Hollywood, my first impression was amazing and seeing the backdrop blew my mind, I headed in after getting advice from our driver to return at 5 for our collection and to just enjoy the park, it was great to not have to follow a group and to just walk around and enjoy the sets etc, we noticed some interesting places straight away and decided to get photos done first,to get dressed up in costumes was priority, we headed in and started to look around at what’s available for the photo op, we saw some hats hanging up and decided we’d try some on but as we did the lady approached us quite aggressively and to us no don’t do that, we noticed her complaining to another couple who like us were English speaking, it was embarrassing the way she spoke to us and didn’t make the start to our day nice, but we decided that we would get our pics done anyway despite the rude lady, we told her we needed two photos she said 24euro so we agreed, and she asked what did we want to get dressed as?, we said me a cowboy and her and Indian, she proceeded to pic up random pieces of clothes that we didn’t like put makeup on my mrs face and dressed her up like a chief and not a sqaw with face paint which she hated and pointed us rudely to the changing rooms after we got changed she paraded us through the park making us take multiple poses in front of everyone and after five pictures we returned and removed our “costumes” she printed off two pics not giving us the choice which ones and put her hand out for the money, honest the woman had no emotion, we took our random pics and hated them but just needed to leave, not a great start as I said but decided we’d go see the zoo area, after walking for ages in the desert sun up and down hills we rested realised it was nearly 12 we jumped on the available train which brought us further away and we missed the 12 o clock show which was another disappointment, the guy on the train was very nice though and the Africa themed restaurant sold me a nice burger but still wasn’t getting off to a good start, we headed into town again and spent a while taking photos then decided to go to the saloon and watch the can can dancers, after standing at the bar for ages, like 15 mins waiting on service I got frustrated and leaned over and asked the lady can she see us or is she just ignoring us on purpose? At this stage I needed a holiday from my holiday and I could not find a seat from waiting at the bar so long, the can can was good but as I had missed the cowboy show I just wanted to head home, the cowboy show only lasts 15 mins btw and if you are leaving at 5 like us,you are out of luck as the next one is at 5 which is a strange time as most tour buses collect at 5, overall I could rant more but apart from staff being a bit bored and not very friendly the area is great to look at and my experience could be different to yours, but as it was my 50th birthday and a dream of mine, I went away disappointed and would advise anyone going to be aware of the time and also be careful before you decide to get pics done as to what you wear as our pic was horrible and will be dumped soon if the mrs has her way,I still am wondering why she took so many pics and did not give us a choice of which ones WE liked, also if you are going to dress a lady as an American native please don’t dress her as a chief?not great but not horrible like some of the staff

While many have praised this park, our experience in February 2025 was marred by shockingly poor organisation and abysmal communication, leaving us frustrated and deeply disappointed. As it was winter, the park was only open on Saturdays and Sundays. We purchased non-refundable advance tickets online to save a little on the admission fee. I questioned why both refundable and non-refundable options were offered, but it didn't deter our purchase. We arrived at 10:30am, half an hour after the park opened, only to be met with a massive queue wrapping around the ticket booth. We had our tickets purchased in advance, QR codes ready for a smooth entry — or so we thought. To our astonishment, we were told, in Spanish (with not a word of English, which was ridiculous for a supposedly tourist-friendly destination), that we had to join the same enormous queue. There was no explanation why, and our "advanced tickets" were rendered useless. My wife was left standing in this chaotic line for over an hour, in direct sunlight, while I sat nearby with our dog due to my back problems. All this time, there was just one ticket window open, and the pace was agonisingly slow. After nearly an hour, with my wife finally nearing the front, they decided to open a second window. The timing was almost laughable, but it only led to more frustration as people attempted to jump the queue, further infuriating those who had been waiting patiently. Adding to the misery, the vending machines next to the ticket booth were inexplicably switched off. In the scorching heat, we watched as countless people approached, only to leave disappointed and empty-handed. The absence of basic amenities like cold drinks, paired with the lack of any clear signage or direction, made tempers flare all around. The worst part? The queue seemed to serve no real purpose other than charging us for parking (€4.95), even though the car park barriers were open for entry and exit! We were handed a paper ticket (yet another waste of non-recyclable material), and our QR codes were never even used. By the time we finally got through, we had to rush to make it to the 12 o'clock show. Dozens of people behind us, still stuck in that unbearable queue, would have missed it completely. This disastrous level of mismanagement, lack of basic communication, and complete disregard for visitors' time left us fuming. It created an overwhelmingly negative impression and was enough to drive away several people who saw the chaos and wisely turned back. What should have been an enjoyable day turned into a nightmare before we even set foot in the park.

DEFINITELY TAKE YOUR SWIMMING SUIT! And water. It is soooo hot there! (Went mid-July). TIPS: 0. If you don't like spending high prices on food, bring in bocadillas or sandwiches in your bag and eat them poolside. Their restaurants are super expensive. (€30+ /person) 1. Get there right at the 10am opening. Shade parking and not crowded (It says you have to pay for parking, and they ask you if you parked there, but if you dishonestly tell them no, and you actually did, nobody checks anyway. Just saying). 2. Go far in and see the back of the park first! Then work your way forward, so from 10am - 12 pm you are seeing the animal park. 3. At 12 noon be at the town center for the actor shootout. It's cute, 4. Afterwards go directly into the saloon and sit down in the cool air conditioning --get a table nearest the stage. Order a cold drink. Relax, wait. 5. 1pm dance show in Saloon. I hesitate to call it a can-can show because the first half of it was, well.....sorta weird. It was like modern ballerina, macabre, gothic strangeness. NOT CAN-CAN. Kinda cool, but not if you are expecting western-style can-can. The last part was can-can. And also some fun humor embedded. Worth watching. 6. Then go see the town stuff in the center. It's interesting. 7. Eat and go to the pool! PLEASE wash in the poolside shower first! Don't just jump in with all your icky sweatiness. Lol. The pool is extremely nice to have here. THE AREA IS EXTREMELY HOT. It's a desert. Dress appropriately, bring water, hat, sunscreen, etc. Okavango restaurant is 30€ per person, in the back past the pool. Expensive meat The park was fun to see and worth the €30 ticket (but I'd say bring their own food).

There are two parts to this immorally run business: 1) The original intention: a film set for western films 40-60's era, the live stunts were short but somewhat interesting to watch. It's worth a visit, but most certainly not for their current ticket price. 2) The zoo is a complete energy suck: seeing how the stunt horses, and even worse how the large mammals and birds are kept - is a total disgrace and makes me genuinely sad to have paid to maintain this wretched place. I am not a Greenpeace, quinoa munching, almond milk obsessed person (although almond milk is tasty), I have leather in my car, I use leather motorbike clothing and consume animal products - but I am completely against cruelty to any living form and this is beyond belief. I have friends who work for various animal charities and will ensure this is brought up with the WWF for possible investigation and will attempt to get in contact with PACMA. I urge you to avoid showing this outrageous, repugnant ideal we have accepted in society to your children: it’s such little gain for humans when compared to the massive cruelty for animals. *Picture descriptions* 1 - Horse in a tiny box, with no water in approx. 35 degree when we went 2 - Flamenco’s are stored (kept sounds too humane) under this walk way with barely a sliver of light - the smell was awful as they crammed so many in 3 - I forget the exact species, but a big bear. No water to be seen, this bear was crazy walking round in circles, moaning - it was so sad seeing this it actually brought me to tears.
