Playa de la Arena is located on the north coast of Tenerife in the charming town of Mesa del Mar. The area offers more than just a beach. There’s also a large ocean pool and a 3 km coast path that leads to the nearby village of El Pris.

The beach has a blue flag certification for its clean waters and safety, is around 400 meters long and has gradual and safe entry into the water. Black volcanic sand and is situated in a natural bay, which helps protect it from strong waves and currents.

The best beach on Tenerife with a fascinating view to the cliffs above you. The best time to visit is at sunset. Admittedly, the entrance to the sea is a tough one. The rocks are very big and differ in size, so it can be a rather painful experience. Nonetheless, once you're in, the scene of the rocks above you and the never ending horizon into which the sun melts is divine. Please note that this beach is quite unknown among tourists and mostly Spaniards visit it. This was definitely a...

A rocky black sand beach. The ocean floor is very rocky and the sand is gritty from rocks wearing swimming shoes is recommended. No shells but some small pieces of sea glass can be found. At the end of the beach there is a small tide pool big enough for swimming with less waves.There are life guards and bathrooms. There is a parking lot at the bottom of the hill and you walk through the tunnel...
