Montaña de Todoque — Attraction in Tazacorte

A sacred place - an old volcano dome itself it was surrounded by lava flows at the Tajogaite outbreak in 2021 but survived its village. Todoque istself is buried under the lave while the hill survived. No paths up there but traces of humans who leave their marks. A cross, a geodetic mark, a hippie bench made from paellet wood with a view to the sea. Don't disturb the birds - grajas, falcons - swallows like to catch insects making use of the thermic upwinds carried from the sea.

Der Montaña Todoque hat für mich eine ganz besondere Bedeutung. Er ist zwar Naturschutzgebiet, aber trotzdem dürfen wir uns frei in diesem Gebiet aufhalten. Es gibt nicht viel Schützenwertes außer den Berg selber und der wird durch ein paar Besucher nicht gefährdet. Der Schutz dient wahrscheinlich nur den Grundstücks- und Bauspekulanten. Am Fuße des Hügels hatte ich mir ein Haus gebaut und konnte jeden Morgen auf seinen Gipfel steigen. Von hier aus hat man einen wunderschönen Rundumblick und kann die universelle Energie bei einer Meditation in sich aufnehmen. Die wichtigsten Dinge gibt es eben auf dieser Erde gratis.
