Great place to visit if passing. Completely free. Parking is available at the entrance or not far away in the residential area. There is a small path for access which is then a few hundred metres walk to the shore over unlevel ground which isn't suitable for wheelchairs but should be fine for the elderly or young children.

The water is extremely salty as you'd expect so floating in the pink lake can be a nice experience. Be warned that you should pack old trainers or suitable footwear to enter the lake as the salt rocks can be painful under your feet. Trying to walk in flip flops is just as painful as the rocks easily get inside under your foot.

There's no facilities, life guards or anything else on site. It's simply a natural salt lake that you can visit at your...

This is a photo taken on the 19th February at midday. This is the location labelled by google as “Torrevieja Pink Lake” or “Laguna Rosa” which is where the taxi dropped us off on the East of the lake. I think it must be the wrong area as from looking at peoples pictures from both different times of the year but also some quite recently there are definitely better areas in which the lake actually does appear to be pink, either that or some good photo shopping. I think the best way to do this would be perhaps to book on the segway tour and follow them round or get advice from a local as it would be a better use of your time. Perhaps other future edits/reviews can suggest a better area around the lake as there are many mixed opinions from the reviews I have...

Let's start by saying don't have high expectations but equally it's a natural wonder.. if you have seen people on social media swimming in it then it's also incorrect and it's a €6000 fine if caught. (And people do get caught) However it's worth visiting. Not only that but if you drive through the area you will also see flamingos if you're lucky. To access this you do have a short walk over unstable ground. It's not suitable for wheelchairs. The access point is at the end of a road and down a dirt trail. Parking is free in the residential roads. There are no facilities at the end and it's a 2 min walk. Overall I would recommend a short stop to see it but if you have to drive hours to it then I suggest you find other things in the area...
