Centre d'Interpretació Racó de l'Olla - Parc Natural de l'Albufera — Attraction in Valencia

Absolutely pathetic opening hours, like so many tourist places in Spain. Do they think that the whole of society wants to visit places in the morning??? We have tried to visit this place several times over the last 15 years. Every single time it was closed, or about to close, and every excuse in the book was given to turn us away. Why is it being closed anyway? I can understand the offices closing after a NORMAL full-day work hour day, but to close before at least 5pm is ridiculous. And the park itself should remain open until nightfall. Not all of us can get down to your offices before that. This place is a joke. Absolutely ridiculous that it only opens for such a short time. Get your arse in gear and work a full day like...

El Parque Natural de l'Albufera is a wonderful place that is well worth a day trip from Valencia. You can get there easily on the 25 bus (directly from Porta de la Mar) for €1.50 each way per person. Make sure to arrive at the visitor center ("Centro de Interpretación" works on Google Maps) early in the day because it closes at 14:00. Amazing place for bird lovers, hikers and of course nature lovers.

The bird hide is amazing to see the flamingos and other birds like cormorants, lapwings, black-winged stilt, Eurhasian Moorhen and many more.

When we were walking toewards the bird hide we saw hundreds of Flamingos flying in the sky. When we reached the hide we only saw 1 and many flamingo eggs.
