Church of Sant Romà — Attraction in Vilanova de Sau

Great place, very calm with unique rocky canyon around.There is a free parking, picnic area and refreshment stall (closed on tuesday in october). Nice big beach where u can swim to the church (whole tower was out in october). We also hiked nice round from the parking up to the beautiful village Taverte located on the rocks above dam (13 km circular, just follow the gravel road behind the refreshment stall that goes around the rocks and then behind them, it starts to ascend easily to the top and to the village where u can have a lunch, from the village follow red marked GR path back down to St. Roma). We were lucky to go after the “rainy” season if that exists in Catalunya 😅 beginning of June it was and luckily the prior months were more wet than usual. Un lugar hermoso, pero triste por la falta de agua.

También es un lugar de paz, con su embarcadero.

Puedes acceder a el en coche, ya que tienes varias plazas libres de parking. Según la época creo que se paga (no lo puedo asegurar el precio. Lo visite hace dos días en el mes de septiembre y no pagamos. Era gratuito en nuestra visita. Pero hay un cartel en una casita que estaba cerrada que el precio eran 5 euros).

Info adicional/ hay muchas zonas de senderismo. Si utilizas wikilok puedes ver mas de cien rutas alrededor. Una de ellas muy recomendable es el morro de la abeja. Aunque hay épocas que es cerrado temporalmente por su peligrosidad a caída. Por lo que si haces alguna ruta.. deberas ir bien preparado y con cuidado siguiendo todas las recomendaciones (mejor sin niños en las rutas de alto nivel de caída).

En el pantano si, no es nada peligroso. La iglesia no la puedes visitar, ya que en esto si hay peligro de desprendimiento. Sigue las recomendaciones marcadas en...
