Chilaw Beach Park is a lovely spot with great potential! The beach itself is beautiful, with soft sands and calm waters perfect for swimming or just relaxing by the shore. The peaceful atmosphere makes it a great place to escape the crowds and enjoy the natural beauty of Sri Lanka.However, the park could use a bit more maintenance. Some areas feel a bit neglected, with litter scattered in certain spots and benches that could use repairs. Despite this, the charm of the place shines through. The sunsets are stunning, and it’s a nice spot for families to gather and enjoy a peaceful day out.With a little more care, Chilaw Beach Park could easily be a 5-star destination. Chilaw Beach Park in Chilaw town is located on the Laccadive sea which is actually  a  part of Indian Ocean. Here you can see golden as well as silver sand sometimes mixed with black sand as well.  Lovely place for afternoon and evening strolling along the costal beach, lovely place for angling. Local fishermen community is very friendly and helpful and they will help you to get one fishing rod  .
