Located in Marawilla, close to the Holy Cross ( සිරි කුරුස ) shrine. A beautiful natural sea coast, yet unfortunately not maintained properly. There's garbage everywhere even though there are few garbage bins located within the beach area. Most of those bins are overflowing with garbage which suggests either that they are not cleaned regularly or There's not enough garbage bins in the area.

Most of the people who come to visit the shrine usually come by to spend some leisure time in the beachfront. In addition to them some families and locals from the nearby area also come to visit the beach. Even though it is frequently visited by many people There's no lights in the beachfront at night. ( There are few lights placed but most of them are not working properly. ) There are also banners displayed saying to be cautious as there can be robbers, therefore it feels a lot scary and insecure to visit the beachfront in the late evening.

There's also banners displayed saying not to bathe in the sea but most of the visitors simply ignore it, which is not appreciated. It seems that the authorities haven't taken any action in addition to just displaying banners to avoid these problems.

However, despite the fact that most of the authorities have ignored the area, the beach is still rich with natural beauty. ( Especially the sunset )

Update: +⭐️ Visited this place on 1st of May. Some aspects have been improved IMO. Especially the beach is way less littered compared to the last visit. Now they offer boat rides too, an improvement in entertainment. Also the burnt out lights have been replaced too. There are few more new light...
