Sivapoomi Jaffna Museum — Attraction in Northern Province

Very interesting place, it's a Musium for Jaffna culture & history The heritage is preserved and displayed for future generations Even though it's great effort there are short comings too 1st & foremost there should be people to explain the artifacts (especially on the ground floor)(I asked a few questions & they didn't have any answors) Tags should be revised & the artifacts should be arranged in better way, some stuff are kept randomly & not named at all The tickets are pretty expensive & no propper measures are taken to keep the belongings like helmets. This newly built museum is a great place with lot of hostorical items, vehicles, images and paintings of Jaffna. The architecture and the atmosphere of this place is very nice and cool place to spend time. The entrance itself is an example of the excellence architecture of the place and the front area is built as a water fountain which showcase the solar system which surrounded by the statues of Jaffna Kings. Very nice experience. It's in A9 road. Need to buy a ticket. 100/=per person. You can park vehicles opposite of it. There are so many old vehicles to see in out side. very nice view in out side.
