Srimal came highly recommended to us, so I decided to book a safari in Bundala with him. The experience lived up to everything we were told. Srimal is passionate about his work; he’s been a guide for 18 years and has an incredible ability to spot birds that you would never notice on your own. He provides a wealth of information, and by the end of the day, you'll have a solid understanding of all the bird species! As expected, we were almost the only ones on the safari, which made it a completely different experience compared to other parks. We took our time to observe the wildlife, making it a much more relaxed and peaceful outing. The landscapes were breathtaking—especially the lakes, which were painted with the colors of the sunrise and reflected the many birds searching for food. It was a truly memorable experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and serene safari.

My brother and I really enjoyed the safari in Bundala National Park with Srimal. The nature was very beautiful and the national park is still a really quiet place on earth without countless jeeps and people. Srimal was able to tell us a lot about the animals and plants in the park and could also answer many of our questions. For me the most important thing: Srimal's respectful attitude towards the animals and the process of a safari. He told us at the beginning of the safari that you can't see elephants every day in this national park, but that that's just how nature works: you can't force it. Sometimes you're lucky and sometimes you're not. It was completely fine for us not to see any elephants today. I wish everyone would think like that. This is how a respectful safari works. I would highly recommend the safari with Srimal.

Srimal is an expert guide. He has incredibly sharp eyes & doesn’t miss a thing. On our evening safari he identified almost 50 different types of bird! We watched 2 elephants grazing for half an hour. By the time we left them they were only maybe 50m away & we could hear the stems snapping as the elephant pulled up the grass. We saw fighting crocodiles, a spotted deer, a golden jackal & plenty of black faced gray langur & wallowing water buffaloes. Srimal has great respect for the wildlife, & environment & is a very kind soul. I can highly recommend his Bundala safaris. We also sat in his beautiful garden drinking his mum’s fabulous chai tea with the most perfect view of an Asian paradise flycatcher in the tree & watched a pair of purple rumped sunbirds darting about. Such a fabulous experience.

We just returned from bundala safari with Srimal. The trip was amazing. Srimal is a good man who respects animals, knows every nook and cranny of the park. Srimal easily spots animals and allows you to calmly look at it and photograph it. During our trip we saw mostly crocodiles, monkeys, iguanas, bufallos, deers and of course a lot of different kind of birda but we wanted to see elephants the most. Due to the Srimal knowledge and determination, we managed to see them and enjoy their beauty in peace. During the 4 hour trip we only saw a couple of other jeeps. We came to Srimal on recommendation and we highly recommend him to everyone. Thank you Srimal! Hope to see You again sometime my friend!

My boyfriend and I had a super safari with Srimal. We met at 6am to start the safari, his cousin was driving the jeep and Srimal was sitting with us in the back. He was showing us everything, he has binoculars for use. We need them but he does not, he sees everything😃 Srimal loves animals and nature and is very knowledgeable of the animals, where they are, what they are like. It was a great calm morning experience and we were alone in the park. We really liked this vibe, we saw so many animals and birds (i can't name them😃), elephants were hiding in the jungle unfortunately, we did see the footprint though.

Magical and awe inspiring wildlife experience, with such a knowledgeable guide! Srimal's hawk eye for the wildlife of Bundala helped us on a wonderful journey through the National Park. His naturalist wisdom made for great lessons on the abundant ecology here. From the star shelled tortoise, to the crested hawk-eagle to the elephants (fifteen total during the tour - four solitary males / eleven others at various points including a group with a month old elephant). Srimal has a peaceful respect of the park and it's wild animals. Please do contact him as a first rate and top choice guide. Thank you Srimal !
