One of the cleanest and most precious beaches in the country also preferred by turtles to lay eggs. When you visit to enjoy the beach, please consider spending a little time to clean the beach. Better to carry some garbage bags and gloves so that you could spend some time with family and friends on this worthy cause. During our short cleanup effort, we were amazed to see the variety and quantity of garbage, plastic, polythene, etc. washed ashore. Please do what you can do to preserve these wonders of nature to future mankind.

The beach is wonderful, a long wild stretch of sand with strong waves. Swimming is most of the time a bit dangerous, even though you can find a few areas protected by rock where it is easier to bath. Nevertheless it is beautiful the sense of calm and space that you get. There are a couple of bars and restaurants offering free sunbeds. The more you go towards Tangalle town the more things you can find on the beach.

A long beach. Unfortunately subject to soft sand walking along the beach is difficult. Swimming is dangerous and for most people impossible subject to high waves. There are two spots on the beach with built wave breakers but the sea is even there still very wavy and swimming is not enjoyable.
