Funlaaza — Attraction in Western Province

I visited the Kids Play and Pool Area at Femstar Funlaaza today, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we walked in, the vibrant colors and cheerful atmosphere welcomed us. This place is designed with kids in mind, offering a perfect blend of exciting play areas and a fantastic pool experience.

Play Area: The indoor play zone is a child’s paradise, featuring various climbing structures, slides, and interactive games. It is spacious and well-maintained, allowing kids to explore and use their imagination while staying safe. The staff is attentive and friendly, frequently engaging with the children and ensuring a safe environment. There are plenty of activities for all age groups, making it an ideal spot for playdates or birthday parties.

Pool Area: Moving to the pool area, it’s simply amazing! The water is clean and inviting, with shallow areas perfect for younger children. The playscape with fountains and water slides adds an exciting element, and the lifeguards are vigilant, ensuring that everyone is enjoying themselves safely. There are also loungers nearby for parents to relax while keeping an eye on their little ones. I went there with my toddler on a weekday (but it was school holiday period and the water play area was crowded). Toddler play area is not recommended to any one. Ball pit does have only 30-50 balls. You can see the bare bottom of the ball pit since it does not have enough balls. The existing balls are also very old and damaged. Slider area is somewhat ok. Bouncer was also ok. For these three only, 1000/= (Time is unlimited which is very good). If you use the other play items like merry go round and all, the full package is 3000/= which is not worth.

The biggest issue is that this are is too hot. If it is a sunny day, you will not be able to be there more than 10 minutes. Few fans are used to cool the area which is not adequate. No AC. It is very uncomfortable to stay there.

Water play area is fine. One parent can go with the child. So you have to bring cloths for that. Chlorine density is too high in the water where you can smell it from outside the pool.

If you are going there from colombo, please think twice, you have better...
