Guruge Mayan Water Park — Attraction in Western Province

Very bad experience and NOT reccomended. Dont waste your time. Please dont ever visit this park in your life. You will regret it. Firstly the kiddies pool is very badly maintained. My baby got bruised because the tiles and edges are damaged. Secondly staff not trained and not friendly at all. They do not have proper knowledge and are confused. All they say is that the owners will take action against them. Proper timing not maintained- i went on a weekday and when i called they said it closes at 7pm however when i went there i was informed it closes at 6pm. Last and the worst thing tht happened was wen my child fell inside the pool my wife tried to help but the staff told tht its not allowed without a ticket! Im perfectly fine with not allowing without a ticket. But the child is crying and i was in the washroom. So only my wife was there. The staff instead of helping were arguing abt the pool rules. Even the staff did not help. Thts the level of training the staff have. What if something happens to the baby? Last visit and will never go or recommend to anyone!!!😤😤😤

Final verdict ..Arrogant and ignorant staff. Management doesnt want to change. Park very badly maintained. Might end up hurting your children🤕😷🤮

It's a mini theme park and if well maintain and the owner invest back some buck he gets from the public, place could be fabulous. Many of the ride equipments are rusted and don't look safe. And the water park is a joke. Water in the pools is murky and greenish colour. I can not comprehend how some of public are not concerned of their health especially little kids. Not to forget to see the animal cruelty of the caged birds, rabbits and swan. Cages are way to small and poorly maintained. Big swan was in a cage not bigger than 3x3 dome type cage.

Mr.Guruge, you are driving a Prado probably but your theme park is utterly maintained. SHAME!. It's obvious you are running this business to earn money only. Your staff is very friendly but I bet they also don't have a say about these things and know how utterly bad the park is maintained.

LKR 2500 for an adult and LKR 2,400 for any aged kid. Nearly 100 people were noticed on the day I have visited. Imagine the revenue it could generate if well maintained.

I recently visited Guruge Park and Maayan's Water Park in Ja-Ela, and it was a huge disappointment. For the high price they charge, it was absolutely not worth it. The pool was filthy and clearly not well-maintained, with debris floating around and the water looking murky. The whole place felt run-down, and there was nothing to keep you entertained for long. The attractions were either outdated or poorly maintained, making the experience feel like a waste of time and money.

The food was another letdown – tasteless and overpriced, not even worth a second glance. Service was slow and unhelpful, adding to the frustration. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It’s definitely not worth your hard-earned money, and there are far better places to visit if you’re looking for a fun, clean, and enjoyable experience. I regret spending my time here and wouldn't come back even if it was free. Complete waste of money.
