Nestled near Diyatha Park, this hidden gem in Colombo is a delightful retreat for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful escape from the bustling city. My visit here was a refreshing experience, taking about 30-45 minutes to leisurely walk around and immerse in the serene environment.

The park is a haven for observing a variety of birds, butterflies, and an array of wetland flora, providing a perfect opportunity to connect with nature in an urban setting. The footpaths are well-maintained and food-friendly, allowing for a comfortable stroll.

One of the highlights of this place is its versatility. It can be pre-booked for events and seminars, offering a unique setting that combines natural beauty with convenience. However, it's important to note that for such arrangements, one needs to contact the Urban Development Authority (UDA) for prior booking.

Whether you're a local resident or a visitor to Colombo, this place is a must-visit for a tranquil and rejuvenating experience amidst nature. Highly recommended for a quick, yet fulfilling,...

What a scam this place is.

I was really disappointed with my experience here. As a local, I had to pay LKR 200 just to see a bunch of trees and notice boards. Given that, I can only imagine how much they would charge tourists, which feels quite overpriced.

To make matters worse, I had a simple point-and-shoot camera with me, intending to take a few photos of the place. However, the staff at the ticket counter insisted that I needed to pay for a separate photography package just to bring in my camera. I didn't even ask about the extra fee—it's just frustrating to be treated as if I were there for a professional photoshoot, especially when I was simply in jogging clothes with my wife. They have no common sense or decency to give us a pass.

If you're looking for a more enjoyable experience, I’d highly recommend visiting Water's Edge Park instead. It has a lot more to offer—plenty of space to explore, things to do, and food options. Plus, it only costs LKR 50 for parking, regardless of whether you're a local or...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful couples park, and it was an enchanting experience. The park is like a serene, well-maintained forest, with charming bridges that allow you to walk across and explore the beauty of nature. Scattered throughout are cozy huts where you can stop, have a meaningful conversation, or simply enjoy some uninterrupted quality time with your partner. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing, and because it's exclusively for couples, there's a sense of privacy and understanding among visitors. Everyone is there for the same reason, so there's a mutual respect that makes the experience even more enjoyable. One suggestion for improvement would be to expand the park a bit more. Adding more seating areas and places to have fun would enhance the experience, making it even more delightful for couples looking to spend a romantic day together.Overall, it’s a perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle, reconnect with your partner, and make beautiful memories. Highly...

Wow. What a waste of time. Seen more wild life on the walk from the bus to here. Ironically could have taken 100 local bus rides for the 4000 ($12us) we paid to enter. Locals pay about fifty times less and the place attracts young couples seeking a quiet spot to court. Apparently the entrance fee isn't spent on maintenance, there clearly is none, to the point of being dangerous with guardrails rotted and held on loosloeith string or fallen away completely. You have to watch your feet to avoid rotten and missing planks but you'll not miss much while unable to look around as there's more wetland outside the park than inside. Plenty of garbage to see, when no apologising to young couples for interrupting their solitude. We walked every path but it's tiny and didn't take long. Even if there was something to stay to see, we were driven out by toxic smoke from burn garbage. My advice, go anywhere else. Better to look in sewers at the side of the road, pay less, see more.

I didn’t know this particular park existed and stumbled upon it accidentally. There’s a 100 rupee entrance fee per person and inside the park is a completely different, wetland environment even though it’s a short walking distance to the main road. It’s similar to Beddegana park, but not as extensive to explore. I love the walkways that’s been built and how it blends seamlessly with the natural environment. It’s mostly couples that were at the park when I visited, which is pretty standard. I only wish the walking paths covered more of an area. But I definitely recommend visiting if you want to spend some time in nature, away from the hustle and bustle of the city without having to travel too far.
