Awesome place, lots of birds, incredibly beautiful buildings, and fantastic people!!! The sounds of bitterns all night long. Cranes. Lots of breading gulls. Swans. Lots of small inquiring birds. Amazing. The Naturum Takern centrum is fantastic. We loved the birds/sounds machines, the corners to sit, the places to watch birds and the explanations by and discussions with the guides (and fellow visitors). If ever you meet an old man with a walking stick, don't hesitate to offer him a fika. You'll have the best time of your life in return! We will surely be back one day :) We loved it. Except for the talking frog - please remove it, this is one of the biggest northern European bird hot spots, not a fairy tale park with fake talking frogs. Or did we get that wrong. The frog starts talking once there is a bit of wind. Super disturbing when watching birds from the amazing tower. Apart from that: all there...

It focuses more on the birds, and the evolution of Tåkern area. I liked the binoculars that help to observe the birds closely. The display that helps to identify the sounds of the birds is a good start for beginners. My kid loved the two short guided tours about insects living in the woods, and in the water. There are hiking trails around, their bird observation tower is large enough for a group. There was tea/coffee but some eatables would have helped. It takes quite sometime to thoroughly visit the naturrum, and take a walk around. I highly...

Extensive nature reserve with visitor centre. You can park a motorhome in the car park and stay overnight. Wonderful towers and facilities for wildlife viewing. The facilities are open 24/7 so birdwatchers can get early or late access when birds are more likely to be active. Good toilet facilities, helpful staff and...

This place best suites for Kids who loves nature Those who loves nature and hiking Lots of birds and different architectures, you can find lots of viewing points around the reserve. Best time to visit this place would be in spring. They have nice binoculars.
