Kaatis Reindeers — Attraction in Överkalix kommun

We visited this reindeer farm on a weekday, and it was immediately clear that Anna-Lena has an incredible amount of care and love for her animals. The explanation we received was super interesting and very clear — much better than all the touristy stuff you find elsewhere. You could really see that the reindeer are treated with great respect and attention.

She truly speaks from passion and takes plenty of time to explain everything and answer all your questions, so you end up learning a lot. It’s also the most authentic and local experience you’ll find — nothing commercial about it. You get plenty of time to walk with the reindeer and take lots of photos, which makes the visit even more special.

OMG! Likes literally. 😳🤯 This was the best reindeers experience ever! 😍 Mrs. Anna-Lenna knows exactly how to treat the reindeers. She has so many great experiences from growing the reindeers. Her reindeers has the best care what can reindeer ever imagine. They are healthy, happy, friendly and not even scared of new people. Of course you need to be patient and polite to them, other way they will run away. But it just showed that they aren't under drogs or other junk. Our experience with Anna-Lena was truly magical! We got to enjoy a warm beverage and homemade biscuits around the fire in a cosy kota and learn more on Sami history and culture. After, we went to pat and feed reindeers and take pictures to keep all those memories. The shop was the cherry on top, lots of nice products from Sami creators!
