Follow the forest trail and you’ll find a monument on the crash site. The billboard has photos and information about the crash. There’s a guest book where visitors can sign their names or write a message. Worth a visit!

A very interesting piece of WWII history right in the forest. As a monument it was more than I expected to see. Readable signs that were not weathered. Very well maintained with a nice flower and an american flag.

aug 2022 Fin minnesplats över de sex amerikanska flygare som här omkom under en hemlig kurirflygning under WW2. Planet som var på väg till Bromma kunde inte landa pga dåligt väder, fick vände om för att landa på Torslanda. Planet störtade ingick i en grupp på fem plan. Efter störtningen följde ett stort räddningspådrag där många av lokalbefolkningen deltog. En plats att besöka för hedra de som omkom här. En skylt som hänvisar till minnesplatsen vid väg 190 skulle underlätta.
