Nolhaga park — Attraction in Alingsås kommun

Nolhaga Slott and park, is basically the grounds surrounding a small manor house. Here in Sweden they call all their manors Castles, so Slott means castle. Not shore why, yet maybe due to their not having been much need for castles here. The only battles Sweden has seen would be when the Vikings ransacked.

The park has two nice features, one would be the walk by the river down to a lake, yet when you arrive there you are met with the sewage works smell. The other is a small animal farm for children to see. One cafe down by the lake and if you continue around the lake you might get to see some park deer. The layout of the grounds is a bit weird, yet can recommend the walk by the river and back, if you hold your breath...

This is a nice day activity especially if you have kids. There is a playground and some animals to see. However due to Covid-19 I think there are a lot less animals that there used to be. There is a restaurant / cafe at the bottom by the lake and a nice little path in the forest to go strolling around on. Nice views and a good way to spend some...

Stå inte med bilen vid slottet.. Där står alltid bilar eftersom det inte finns någon skylt om att du inte kan parkera där samt att lekplatsen ligger på andra sidan gatan. Träffade en parkeringsvakt som lappade bilarna som stod där och kom i diskussion. Påpekade för honom att det inte fanns någon skylt om parkering förbjuden. Han sa att den står när man kör in på området, och gäller hela området... Men VARFÖR STÅR DET INGEN SKYLT HÄR, det är ju här föräldrar parkerar när de ska till lekplatsen. Ja, just det, sa han, då kommer jag och lappar, annars har jag ju inga att lappa, jag åker ofta hit och lappar bilar. Hur kan man bära sig åt så här med gott samvete. SÄTT FÖR TUSAN UPP EN SKYLT. PARKERING FÖRBJUDET PÅ NÄMDA PLATS. Parken för övrigt är en trevlig plats att promenera i och bra lekplats...
