Ekebyhovsbacken — Attraction in Ekerö kommun

In winter, from late Dec, the slopes are open for skiing. There is one T-bar lift that serves as the main lift and one button lift at the kids' ski area.

LIFTS: 👍👍👍👍 The T-bars are easy to get on and takes about 3 minutes to the top. The kids' button lift is much more difficult than what it seems. It is perched on an almost ungroomed side of the slope and getting on it is tricky.

SKI EXPERIENCE: 👍👍👍👍 The two slopes are moderate (blue) but feels steeper especially when the snow is thin and icy. When there is more snow, the ride down is pretty nice.

VIEWS FROM THE TOP: 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 Views on top of the slope are amazing with 360° panorama of Lidingö and Stockholm.

SKI HIRE AND CAFE: 👍👍👍 Ski hire is available. Ski passes can be bought at the ski hire shop too. 3 hours of ski with a break at the café gives more than enough time to have a fulfilling ski day.

The ski hire and cafe are located next to each other. The locales are small so it's not too comfortable to stay inside for too long.

WHAT'S GOOD AT THE CAFE 🔸️ The Huski brand hot chocolate topped with whipped cream is very good! 👍👍👍👍👍

🔸️ The hotdog 🌭 is small but sufficient as a warm snack. 👍👍👍

🔸️ 🥣 For lunch, the piping hot though small bowl of Gulasch Soup with small cubes of beef and potatoes served with a slice of cold bread and a side of sour cream was good enough to warm the stomach and not be too filling. 👍👍

🔸️ Cakes and Snacks There are also cakes, snacks, soft drinks, coffee etc.

TOILETS: 👍👍👍👍 Located in a grey trailer at the entrance, closer to the carpark. This is warm and clean during winter.

SERVICE: 👍👍👍👍 Overall good, quick service. Attentive staff manning the lift.
