My teens, husband, and I decided to follow the "tricky" trail, which after a week hiking in Sweden, we predicted was an understatement. For experienced hikers (and Swedish kindergarteners), tricky may be accurate. For us American visitors, wearing regular sneakers, it was a bit more than tricky. We clambered over tree trunks, boulders, loose rocks, and slippery roots on the well-marked blue trail but managed not to fall or twist and ankle. The views and scenery were stunning and worth the effort, but we met several stretches of trail that appeared impossible. Yet, perseverance and patience paid off. Step by step, even steep ravines can be traversed by regular folks of...

Wonderful place to be, great nature and a long way with big stones which looks as a canyon. If you are visiting Eksjö, take a trip to Skurugatan and you will really enjoy it. It's just 8 km from the city and it's worthy to take youself there! I was there many times during summer, it's really great to go that way between huge stones and the temperature really cool and at the end you'll reach the goal to come to the point to see the view where you have the chance also to barbecue with your family or just sitting and enjoying the view. High...

It's a nice, short, walk and a special phenomenon for this region in Sweden. The path through the canyon goes frequently up and down. You can take a more easy path, parallel and above the canyon, if you start your walk in direction of the top. There's a place for a camp fire at the top where you can pick-nick. After the top you decend and arrive at a small swamb before you go into the canyon. After the first climb, you can take a stairs that leads you to the parallel and stable pathway.
