Alphems Arboretum — Attraction in Falköpings kommun

This is a beautiful place that has a special place in my heart. The environment is so pretty and clean. And it's pretty obvious that one of the houses there was the inspiration of the house in snow-white. Which is pretty freaking cool. My mother used to go there with her father when she was little. And now she takes me there. She did that when I was a baby as well. Taking pictures there is my favorite part. You can capture so many parts of the nature in that environment. And the houses. And the flowers. It has its own atmosphere. It's very calming. That's a place where I can stop and just let my worries fade away for a moment. Plus... Everytime I go there, I try to lift that big stone. It looks easy. But it's really not. But every single time I go there, I give it another try. Just for fun. 4 stars because overall we really enjoyed the tour through the cottage. History is an interest of ours but not only that the guide, one of the people that has taken a great interest in preserving this place for the public brought it alive with her own personal history. We hade coffee and cakes, nothing really fancy however my personal favorite was the vegan brownie with a raspberry touch! Amazing what characters like Frans Johan Gergerfeldt make happen with their own personal inspiration for life and the legacy they leave behind. 4 Stars to all the people that preserve this...

Kaffestugan är det första man möter - gott kaffe med pågår, ordinära kakor, styckvis glass, trevlig tjej i kassan. Kolla öppettiderna innan! Rätt mycket öppet under sommaren. Parken ligger efter/bakom kaffestugan och är alltid öppen. Swisha din entré för att bidra till skötseln (som sköts ideellt så vitt jag vet). Vi hade tur och det gick att gå in och titta i grundarens lilla söta stuga! Troligen öppen helger under sommaren, med stugvärd.

Platsen är klart värd ett besök, om du gillar träd och stenformationer. Alla träd är tydligt märkta med små namnskyltar. Men jag saknade en övergripande informationsskylt om grundaren, hans nattliga stenräder efter jobbet som lantbrevbärare, brevväxling med svenska och utländska plantskolor och törst efter kunskap (och frun och alla barnen i stugan!) i en tid när skolgången var knapp och knaper. Och hur allt räddades efter en auktion på 50-talet.

Man ska inte behöva leta upp ett infoblad på papper eller googla. (Vilket man just nu alltså behöver - jag såg i alla fall ingen skylt om just...
