I enjoyed our guided tour with Alexander. His English was perfect, and his knowledge was extensive. I'm very glad there were only eight of us because the Swedish tours appeared to have up to 20 people in a group and the rooms are too small to take this number of people. There are various tours but I'd recommend booking. We paid SEK400 each as seniors, but the prices are on the website. We went to book in person and then went for a coffee and cake at the local cafe. We had parked our campervan in the Carl Larsson-gården parkering in Grånäsvägen so had a short, enjoyable walk to the house and garden but there's plenty of parking very close by near the café. The staff are friendly and we bought our tickets from Rebecca, whose English is also perfect. I docked one star just because I didn't feel I got to the bottom of the Larsson story, but I don't think that's possible in the 45 minutes we had. It may be that an introduction to the Larsson's, outside the house, perhaps in the garden, if it isn't raining, especially for foreigners, might be in order? In the meantime, a quick look at Wikipedia before your visit might help...

We were really looking forward to seeing this place but unfortunately the English guided tour did not meet our expectations. Only the most obvious things were told and no personal or interesting things were shared. We left the place feeling quite disappointed. Also errors about which famous authors who had visited their guest room occurred. When ordering sandwiches at the neighboring café the young waitress did not do anything to show us hospitality. She could not answer the most simple question... please, educate your summer staff better Carl Larssongården!

Took the guided tour in their house, and it was absolutely stunning and interesting. I loved it! Their life and history and art is so inspiring, you can tell there was so much love and beauty in this home and I highly recommend anyone go visit, especially if you have any interest in art, architecture, design or history. It’s such a beautiful house, and you can tell where IKEA got a lot of inspiration from too! Haha. Don’t forget to take a walk in the garden, and the village, because they’re also gorgeous.

Honestly, a stunning and very idyllic place. That is what you could and want to expect from such a time breaking artist like Carl Larsson. We joined a guided tour and got shown around the house of Carl and Karin. Their souls as artists was put into that house. The decor and all over interior designs were nothing like the trends at the time. Very bright and light. Just like his paintings, no heavy oil paint. Only light strokes of water colors. I won't be pinning any pictures from the inside because you were not allowed to take any pictures. And the outside you will have to see for yourself. It was a...
