Ruda Gård — Attraction in Finspångs kommun

We spent our final day here and it was by far the best campsite we had stayed at during our week-long campervan tour of Southern Sweden. Having contacted the hosts via their website/email in the morning, Lisa responded within the hour to confirm availability. We arrived a few hours later having driven up from Malmo and were greeted by Kim who kindly helped direct us to the campsite a few hundred yards down the road, as Google Maps had directed us to the Ruda Gard farm houses. My wife and I were both blown away with the serenity and beauty of the campsite. It is immaculate. The facilities are 5 star for sure - the amenities building houses the cleanest toilets and showers I have seen, as well as excellent cooking facilities, dish washing and all other campervan essentials (water, etc.). The site is relatively small, however the permanent residents were extremely welcoming and we were made to feel instantly at home. We will be returning in the future for a longer stay for sure. Beautifully located near the lake. Idyllic small sand beach and swim spot. Super friendly and helpful owner. Most clean and cosy sanitary facilities of our whole trip. Only downside were the mosquitos (we were here end of August) but that’s a regional issue....
