My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Blacksta Vingård earlier this June, and I must say it was an extraordinary experience. I am thrilled to share my thoughts and express my utmost satisfaction with the restaurant.
From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were captivated by its charming ambiance and the breathtaking view of the lake. The setting was truly picturesque, adding a touch of magic to our evening. The owners, Josefine and Olle, have an impeccable taste in music, which further enhanced the atmosphere and made the entire dining experience even more delightful.
Now, let me talk about the food. Every course of the menu was nothing short of phenomenal. The culinary journey we embarked on was truly unforgettable. The flavors, creativity, and presentation of each dish were exceptional. The chefs' attention to detail and their ability to surprise us with unique and delicious creations, such as the remarkable use of beaver in one of the dishes, left us in awe. It was evident that Josefine and Olle are passionate about their craft, and their expertise shone through in every bite.
To complement our meal, we opted for the wine pairing, and it was an absolute dream. Their recommendations were spot on, perfectly complementing the flavors of each dish. It was evident that great care had been taken in curating a wine selection that would elevate the dining experience to new heights.
One remarkable aspect worth mentioning is the exceptional service we received. Despite a larger group canceling their reservation due to illness, the restaurant graciously accommodated us on short notice, granting us the opportunity to have an intimate dining experience. We were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves as the only guests that evening. Josefine and Olle went above and beyond, taking the time and effort to prepare a personalized menu exclusively for us. Their genuine hospitality and dedication made us feel truly special.
We are already looking forward to our next visit to Sweden, as Blacksta Vingård has undoubtedly won our hearts. We will make it a point to return to this remarkable restaurant when we are back in the area. Josefine and Olle, we cannot thank you enough for the wonderful evening and the memories we will cherish forever.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Blacksta Vingård to anyone seeking an extraordinary dining experience. Immerse yourself in the enchanting ambiance, savor the sensational flavors, and let the attentive staff take care of your every need. You won't be...
Read moreOverall disappointing despite the beautiful surroundings and charming rooms with a private sauna. Although the rooms had no wardrobe (only a cupboard with shelves).
Upon arrival no information was given about the welcome drinks or hot tub that were included in the "vinpaket". We eventually asked for our welcome bubbles when we arrived for dinner. We were given, what we later found out was, a cava from Spain. Very strange not to present a wine at a vingård and also not offer their own sparkling wine. We never got the opportunity to use the hot tub, nor saw anyone in it. We asked about it at check out and were told by one member of staff that it was working but "they didnt know we anyone wanted to use it".
Food in the restaurant was good, with locally produced bread and cheeses, but they were pushing a 665 kr drink packet, which was mostly European wines with two of their brännvin. Moreover, the server made you feel that nothing else ”matched the food”. Why don’t they make food to match their own products? Lots of flies also in the restaurant and rooms, but not sure if they can do anything about it. Maybe nets over the windows or citronella candles?
Although we were late, and admittedly missed the start of the tasting, which cost an extra 500 kr per person, they served only one sparkling wine, the rest was one beer, a port wine and a gin. The drinks were good, but the information given about the production and their methods was little and within 45 mins everyone was shepherded into their cellar store, where the prices were the same or a little higher than systemet. The whole thing felt underwhelming.
For price as a vingård experience we felt dissapointed and would rate it 2/5. As a hotel in a nice surroundings maybe it can be 4/5 if the price was lower.
We saw from other comments that there has been a change owners. Maybe that can explain the lack of wines available. The mini bar in the room was double the price of their shop on site and systemet, with half a bottle of wine for 450 kr. This just added to the feeling of opportunistic pricing.
Breakfast was low effort (an unstaffed cold buffet) given the price point for an overnight stay, but was nice nonetheless.
Destination Tesla chargers (2) were available, which...
Read moreAfter a weekend in this hotel we had a big argument with the owner. I will sum up our major issues below. Draw your own conclusions:||||As we arrived we were served a glass of wine without the menu or the price being told. The wine was good but way overpriced... 150 kr (16-17 eur) a glass..We thought it would have been correct if price would have been communicated in advance.||||Ironing of a shirt ( we needed for a wedding and was wrinkled due to luggage) is being offered as a service ( we wanted to do this ourselves, but the owners wife offered to do it for us..really no problem at all )||but in the end we found it on our bill for also 150 kr (16-17 euro) per shirt||||A wine tour that is organized does not even contain tasting a glass of wine. You can only buy it at enormous prices .. 150 -250 kr for a glass and 1100 (!!) for a bottle of 250 ml||||The owner thinks he is absolutely great. Also that the only person in the whole area who can cook is himself. He is talking extremely bad about other restaurants in the area. Whenever he talks it is one big "me" show.||||The rooms however look absolutely fabulous, but don't forget to check the bill when you leave cause the owner is not good at...
