Stenhammar is owned by the State and it has been leased to King Carl XVI Gustaf since 1966, but is not considered a crown palace.

I have not been inside the castle, because there was an open air event, called "party of the world" with music of the world and food of the world, e.g. from Somalia, Eritrea, Irak etc. The event was good, even the opening by the King of Sweden was lukewarm. He has no "fire" in his voice. Unfortunately a thunderstorm made the other half of the event unpleasend.

Lugn och fin natur, fina byggnader och fantastiskt att lilla Flen som i övrigt tillsynes inte är så mycket med. Har Sveriges kung och drottning boende här. Flaggan är ofta hissad i vart fall på helger och kungaparet är hemma. Medans turisterna myllrar runt Stockholm slott och Drottningholm så kan man gå några hundra meter från kungaparet. Eftersom man kan vandra runt...
