I am done with Ikea I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the recent experience I had while ordering a PAX wardrobe system from IKEA. Ikea had arranged for a delivery through a third-party service and specifically requested an afternoon delivery due to my early shifts. Unfortunately, this request was not honored, and I was left waiting for a solution. When I contacted the third-party delivery service, they informed me that the issue lay with IKEA, and when I asked if I could collect the order myself, I was instructed to speak directly with IKEA. After waiting for 1.5 hours on the phone, with Bring ( delivery) I I reached out to IKEA and explained my situation. I was assured that someone would call me back with further information, but after two follow-up calls with no response, I was informed that my order would not arrive until the following week. Frustrated by the lack of communication and resolution, I ultimately decided to cancel my order and request a refund. While I understand that customer service representatives may not be at fault, I believe the underlying system needs significant improvement. Based on my experience, I would advise potential customers to reconsider ordering for home delivery from IKEA, as it appears to be a complicated and unreliable process. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope to see improvements in your delivery system in the future. Sincerely, No more Ikea for me

Lack of intelligent structure for navigation and overall structure in the warehouse. Same old boring uniform signs and colors, and an outdated touch overall. But the stuff you can buy, love it. A great tip is to book the stuff you want in advance since this warehouse way too often are out of stock/the product you wanna buy, and you have traveled to one of Gothenburgs most boring areas way outside the city for nothing. It is however by far the best IKEA warehouse in this part of Sweden. The food in the restaurant is cheap but tasteless and outdated. Prepare also for much noise and a warehouse design that doesnt seem to be built for great amount of people regarding sound/noise. The total contrast between IKEAS own house/rooms and the stuff they sell, is interesting, however not very charming. Nothing tempts but the products. When I was a kid this interior was cool. Today it is not, rather misinterprated version of retro. The brand is getting closer to the mainstream business concept. If I had the power I would do a great change, to appeal and make customers feel more comfortable on a deeper level. Make better environment for the staff. Rearrange to lower the stress level in there. 🐄 There are better stress factors than handling customers as some live stock. 10% each year. Starting focusing on navigation and sound.

Suggest to check the availability of products online by selecting the store before visiting the shop to ensure stock availability. Downside is that one has to go through the entire shop, to get to the billing area. While one can buy things online, some kind of layout change would pull in more customers who can still visit the shop, take what they want and check out fast. The layout reminds me of some classic sales strategy so people also end up buying more things. You can find everything regarding a household and much more. Please visit the product page 😅

Highly disappointing Regarding Return Experience at IKEA Bäckebol.

We are very disappointed with the customer service we received at IKEA Bäckebol regarding a recent mattress return. Earlier this month (June 2025), we purchased two mattresses, but decided to return them as they didn’t fit our requirements. After confirming the return policy by phone on June 23, we brought them to the store, meeting all the stated conditions.

At the store, the staff inspected the mattresses and claimed they had a "bad food smell," despite the fact that we and a friend could not any bad smell. On top of that we bought these two mattresses 3 weeks before and we used IKEA delivery facility to deliver them our new house. One staff member, Harnet, told us " if we want we can sell them sell them online"—a highly inappropriate comment. When we requested a second opinion, she called another colleague while saying us, "It doesn't matter who you talk to, this decision will not change," . Without conducting a proper inspection that new customer service officer named Kai, backed his colleague’s decision and refused to accept our return.

We couldn't find anything in the return policy regarding smell. We left feeling unfairly treated and cannot help but wonder if bias may have played a role in how we were handled—something that should never happen at IKEA.

Dear Friend, I am writing you my thought truly only for sharing with you my bad experience of buying a kitchen in IKEA at my country. I had my old kitchen since 1992 when I first built my house. It was made by a local carpenter. It wasn't the most attractive one but it held for almost 27 years, true the Formica coating started to peeled off and it needed some renovation. We decided to inquire for a new kitchen. After checking few ideas we decided to buy from IKEA. From the beginning when they install the kitchen I could see that the installers werent so proficient with their work, which very soon proved itself to be accurate and forcing me to fix a few minor mistakes by my self. For example they didnt assemble enough screws which caused the microwave shelf to collapse. There isn't smooth closing at some bottle units drawers. My old marble held my weight several times during the 27 years when I had to reaper some thing above it. The new kitchen marble that IKEA mounted collapsed after one time which I stood on it. of course I had to repair this problem too by adding supporting beam. I do understand that today unfortunately things are not built to last, but after one year to have the feeling that it can brake any time? I will admit that we choose your product also because of the price but in order to calculate price for value it has to be in the same level. Thank you in advance Irena and Ami...
