Bergman centre on Fårö — Attraction in Gotland Municipality

Museum is overpriced for what it is, which is essentially a wikipedia article spread out across a hallway with some pictures. There’s not anything really exclusive to see there, no displays with anything cool from the filmmaking process, just quotes and recreations of his shooting journals and scripts. That said, the centre seems more focused on contemporary festivals and art projects which is probably fine.

A must for any obsessive Bergman fan like me. This small museum takes only an hour to go through, and exhibits change from time to time, but here you step into the world of one of the great filmmakers of all time. When I was there, Persona was featured. You get to learn Bergman's family story and see candid personal shots along with movie stills and artifacts. It should be better.. Bergman was a fascinating personality and there is so much in his movies to explore. But this is an uninspiring museum with no passion or energy. The staff looked so bored they almost asleepsleep and the giftshop is less than useless, . No this place needs some major rework .
