The lighthouse is closed off and walled within the keeper's living quarters. You can, however, still take a picture of the rusty cannon and the lighthouse itself as the walls are quite low. There is a beach nearby, but be warned, the walk through the woods and into the beachfront requires you to be a walking buffet for the famous Swedish mosquitos. They are especially concentrated at the open area where the two public bathrooms are located. Just when you think it's all over, a few brave ones will continue following you onto the coastline. And then this is where the famous Swedish "bronxs" take over. The plus side is that these bee looking bugs are quite lazy and can easily be flicked away from your fingers. And then there's the lovely smell of seaweed and dead blue mussels. Make sure you camp away from those areas, and you will enjoy a nice evening where the sand is wonderful on your feet, cool semi-salty waters, and a fantastic view during blue clear skies. TLDR: Wear long clothes, ignore the lighthouse, bring insect repellents, wear dark clothing, and camp far away from the mussels for a 4 star beach experience.

Laughable parking fee, 30kr per day? So what's the rate for 10 minutes, 1kr? Number belongs to a Ringvida cafe AB, they would probably be more profitable by putting their energy on something cafe-related rather than parking.. Lighthouse is not accessible since it is on private property. But the lighthouse is nice, and so is the beach.

Absolutely beautiful spot, especially late in the evening when the sun is setting, well worth the travel. Easy to reach by car, google maps location is correct and there's a large parking spot when arriving. Light house is not accessible however, you'll have to look at it from outside.

✨✨Fårö fyr i gryningens magi✨✨

30 SEK for parking and then you cannot even go near the lighthouse since it belongs to a private property. Even worse, you have to pay the fee over some silly payment app. Very nice if you do not have an internet connection as a tourist from a foreign country. Eventually, some local people offered to pay for us over the app which was very nice of them! Apart from that, the place and the stony...
