Pippilandet was very fun for our 8 year old kids. It was clean and we never had to wait long to go on a ride. However the STAFF at Pippilandet NEVER even once smiled. Only Pippi itself did. The Staff should be told to smile at the visitors and act friendly not bored or annoyed. The waterpark was fun, we liked the heated main pool and the bigger slide that you go down with little inflatable up boats. Some other slides seem quite dangerous, especially the one with an odd shape where the jumping tower is. You can actually get hurt there because of its shape. Overall there were enough toilets and it was clean. The Pizza Restaurant ran out of Pizza near the Pool. The food at the old style american restaurant was very good. The camping was lovely with FANTASTIC ocean views. Our cabin was old inside but it had everything we needed. The outdoor furniture was modern and comfortable. We staid at a villavagn. The service houses were aged and everything was small and old. It would be good for the camping to invest in the service houses, renovate them. The location of the camping resort was ideal, very close to Visby. We were allowed to check in at 15 and had to check out at 10.30. They have chargeable cards to do the laundry, and you will get no refund in the end if there is leftover credit on it and they will expire within the same...
Read moreSadly this beatiful resort has turned into a money cow.... with the pure purpose of milking cash out of tourists to the max.
The water park used to 10ish years ,2010ish, ago be a wonderful place to take the kids. Warm water ..clean utilities and a lot of space... 2024 it was the opposite... my 3 kids all begged to leave for the summer resort instead as the water park had very cold water and was quite dirty with huge crowds of people....too little place for privacy... the cold water in itself of course saves money but we will not return again for it
Summer resort with carousels a bit better.. less crowdy.. short lines on a Friday... pippi theater a nice treat... but but unmanned carousell where children in line shall push buttons for the next to go on the ride left only disputes and unnecessary stress... of course less salary to pay when it is not manned but it is lousy way of saving money....
Food in the restaurant was though very good.
Summed up... skip the cold crowded dirty water park...enjoy the summer park resort instead...
Sad to see the greed that did not exist during my 40 years in...
Read moreFun for a day. We visited in June 2022 for about 5 hours and that was enough to see both the sommarland and vattenland. Signs for attractions should be improved, they were mostly in Swedish or non-existent. We had lunch at Egils Kök, the allergens were not mentioned anywhere but we got the information by asking. Sommarland (the waterpark) was nice with a lot of slides. At first we were totally lost, there's no signs for changing rooms or any other information, nothing in English. Finally we got a key for a locker from the shop but still had no idea where the lockers were. The employee seemed just as confused as we were. Eventually we figured it out. The lockers should be free and there should be plenty like any other water park has! The changing rooms and showers are small, dirty (yuck!) and crowded but the park itself...
