We went this monday as on Saturday and Sunday entrance prices were even higher, like 399 SEK. Entrance price on the web site mentioned was 199 sek per person but when we wanted to book it was suddenly 299 for no apparent reason.

We found the same things that other low-star reviews write about: Many animals appear not to be in their designated spaces or access to the spaces has been closed off Spaces for some animals like the eagles and bears and the european wild cats are pretty small, specially the bears looked quite bored and unhappy Each and every corner where you can get drinks was closed. When they are open you pay 39 SEK for a small can of coke - that is way overpriced even for Swedish standards No numbered signs or clear walking route, no offer of a map of the park at the entrance People at the entrance do not appear to speak English, while everyone else in the area seems to speak at least some basic English. They keep rattling Swedish even though you make clear you don't understand a word they say. Theatre and a lot of other theme park attractions: music on but nothing happening, or simply closed. Haven't seen any animals been fed, not even at the times mentioned in the app Haven't seen any animals being taken care of, one raccoon appeared to lie dead (actually dead, not just sleeping) in the cage, and one bear missed hair on its back due to stress Enormous walking distances, including some steep slopes, don't go here if you are not good at walking or if you are already tired Place can't seem to choose if they want to be a Shaun the Sheep theme park, a Dinosaur theme park, a camping, a farm or a zoo, so they are a bit of it all but none of it is really convincing or a strongpoint At the end of the afternoon we were supposed to pay another 50 SEK for leaving the parking. After being fooled with the higher entrance price we didn't feel like paying even more and we managed to just sneak out. We understand they need income to keep a big place running, but if they get income they also are supposed to give something back like staffing the restaurants, cleaning the toilets, doing some shows and actually having animals in their space.

All and all, despite the effort put in to build it all up and the terrain being large and beautiful and lots of different things to be seen in theory, it's a bit underwhelming. We are fairly experienced travellers and have seen other zoos and theme parks that were way better and entertaining and more sticking to one theme. This place might need new management with a clear vision.

I don't want to make this a one star review, some good points: we did enjoy seeing the lynxes and the mooses and the seals place appeared reasonably maintained (it took 3 staff members to paint one fence plank, 2 to watch and one to actually paint) we did enjoy the beautiful terrain, the little huts with a stool, the picnic tables the shaun the sheep scene looked good and the stuff for smaller children is good enough to keep them entertained for a while

Advice if you go: Book and pay online 2 days in advance and visit on a weekday Bring your own food and drinks Bring good walking shoes and don't carry heavy stuff Don't expect to be fully entertained all day, 4-5...

It's a great park but a terrible zoo. The chances for you to see any other than farm animals are extremely low, unless you literally spend the whole day (and potentially night in there).

I get it, they wanted to make a zoo that operates on the terms of the animals, it just doesn't really work for the audience. I think they should market the place as "activity park, where you may see some animals too" but the entrance ticket of 300SEK is just too steep to go for a walk in the park.

The distances are really long, expect walking 10km+ to go around the whole park. Some other parks, such as Knuthenborg and Givskud Zoo in Denmark, have solved this issue by making the park as safari park where you can drive around instead. It works way better for small children and adults who don't want to spend hours and hours on walking, getting exhausted.

I give the 2 stars for the dinosaur experience and the tractor ride. If you love hiking and having the opportunity to see some animals, want to spend the whole day out, cook your own food etc. this is probably worth the experience. Just don't go with small children and don't hype the kids going to a zoo seeing a lot of animals, because most likely they don't.

P.S. Ranua Zoo in Northern Finland has the same idea, where animals are in large areas and they have somehow manage to solve the issue, you can pretty much guaranteed always see animals there. I think they just have more animals and the walking paths are often elevated so you can easily see...

Nice park that is really a theme park/playground combined with a zoo/animal park. The place is well kept and you can tell a lot of effort has been put into the attractions! Cool new dinosaur feature and the ”Shaun the sheep land” is very nice for the kids. One of the best attractions is the walkway in the trees, a massive structure of bridges and walkways high up in the trees. Parking is not included in the price and I’d recommend bringing your own lunch/fika. There are places to eat or fika, but they get crowded really quickly. There are a few downsides however; some of the attractions have really long wait times, such as the tractor ride at the “Shaun the sheep land” and the tree walkway, to name a few. I don’t understand why the management don’t implement a better system of slot times, which would be easy to do especially with todays prevalence of smartphones. So prepare to wait for up to an hour in line with your kids for some of the attractions… not so good. Some of the kids playgrounds have an abundance of nettles in them… I know these are fast growing weeds, but could be good to clear when there are a literal sea of then all around the kids “pony ride” course. Overall I’d say that it’s more of a themepark/amusement park rather than an animal park. Nothing bad in that, just an...

This was my first visit to this park and in some ways it was good and something just needed updating. The service was good, people were friendly and during the COVID-19 pandemic a lot of measures were taken to ensure public health. Hand sanitizer and making people kept a safe distance. The food at restaurant "Stallet" was typical fast food although there was nothing fast about it. Took over 30 minutes in line even if we were number three in line and already had reserved a table at a specific time. I would bring my own food next time since there are good sites to prepare your own food to grill or eat. When we tried to find the animals in the park we really had to be at the right place at the right time. It wasn't a sunny or hot day, so why the animals were hiding I don't know. I would say the animal caged needed updating. Even if the animals where in their shelter you should be able to see them. The shelter was placed in an inaccessible place, so either you had to wait it out or go somewhere else. We didn't see maybe half of the animals. It really was on the animals terms, but if it should be on the animals terms, why lock them up? The facility needs updating all in all. Shaun the Sheep department was new and looked therefore great.

Skånes Djurpark is a fantastic destination for families, offering a full day of fun and adventure with its extensive range of animal exhibits and activities. We found tremendous value in getting the annual pass, as our kids always ask if we can come back the next day as we are leaving. It's easy to spend more than four hours exploring the park, making multiple visits worthwhile. One tip is to plan your visit around the animals' feeding times for a better chance of seeing them up close and active. The tractor ride is a popular attraction, and the line can get backed up. We recommend exploring the rest of the park first and then circling back to the tractor ride later in the day. A fun alternative to ordering food is to take advantage of the many picnic tables, which often have designated spots for disposable BBQs. Additionally, the restaurant by the bear enclosure offers shared BBQ grills that can be used, adding a unique and enjoyable aspect to your visit. Skånes Djurpark provides a memorable experience for all ages, and with so much to see and do, it's well worth multiple visits.

Awesome park for families with small kids (it might be too boring for teenagers). The staff was exceptionally nice and always helpful explaining things and share facts about the animals. The park is allowed to use characters from Shaun The Sheep. Our kids know that show so they loved the characters walking around and hug them. There is also one "ride", the tractor attraction in the Shaun the Sheep farm. The park is actually pretty big, it takes a while to walk and see everything (count in 3-4 hours). There are a couple of animals to see in rather large (compared to other animal parks) cages: Wolves, bears, foxes, hogs, elks and many more. One very cool feature are the hanging bridges between the trees. Definitely to do while there! Parking system is pretty well done. It scans the cars license plate and registers it. When you leave the park, you pay for the time you've parked your car and drive out again. This allows people to get into the park entrance much quicker than waiting in front of a parking machine. In the whole park there are enough places to rest and have a picnic.
