Today we went to the Värmlands moose park. There were some other people who also wanted to visit the park. Before the tour started the guide told us that there would be a possibility that we could not see the male. That was because of the time of the year. However, the guide was a very nice guy,and no question was unanswered. He took us to a female moose with her 2 calfs. The moose were very gentle and we had to feed them. But boy, eventhough it was the female,it is still a huge animal! After seeing these animals we went back for a cup of tea and after that to another enclosure where the male was with a wilder female. But like the guide said,no male goose!. But he said there was a workaround. After the wild female we could walk next to the outer fence and we would see the male for sure he said, well,he didn't lie!! What a magnificent animal!!
For people who want to visit the moose park, you should do it. But be beware for the muddy conditions,so take some boots which are water resistant and put on some older clothes. For me and my wife it...
Read moreThis is an absolute must-do experience! My elderly neighbor has had a lifelong dream to pet a moose & today that dream became a reality. The experience was absolutely incredible & I’m so grateful to Per & his family for enabling us to partake in this once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Per is an extremely knowledgeable tour guide & clearly has a passion for moose — he’s not just reciting a memorized speech, but rather engaging with his audience & answering questions in an incredibly genuine manner. My neighbor is a wheelchair user & it wasn’t exactly easy to navigate the property, but with a little determination & elbow grease it was absolutely possible & so very worthwhile. We can’t thank you enough, & I can’t recommend Värmlands Moose Park highly enough to any &...
Read moreWe expected something like a usual zoo the first time we had visited Värmlands Moose Park (VMP), but it was much better. Lots of informations about moose and other animals in Sweden in the first part of the tour (+you can feed and pet some moose through a fence) and then the chance to really touch such an impressive animal afterwards in the 2nd part, standing right beside them, inside the fence.
From this 1st visit on we went to VMP every time we'd been in Sweden and plan to do so at our future trips there too. It's just great.
Maybe important to know: the informations are given in English. And there are lots of them. So if you don't speak English the first part of the tour may be a...
