Ramlösa health resort — Attraction in Helsingborgs kommun

This was a lovely surprise. I visited this place planning to have a nice walking in a park, totally unaware of the history and cultural meaning of this site for the city, the province and even the country.. To make the experience even better try to acces not by the main entrante but by the old forest called the Philosophers walk, along the small channel. Be sure to reach the pond, amd then the source of water from the stone. Have a look at the old photos exposed at the colonnade. And head afterwards towards the old buildings of the health resort, today private houses. The park and the houses are so beautiful that you will go around just enjoying. Beautiful park surrounding the beautiful Ramlosa water source. Many historical buildings have been turned into private homes, what gives the park a very cozy and vibrant feeling. I kept one star away in the rating because of the sad experience we had at the salamander fountain: a group of boys were catching the poor animals and mistreated them despite of the sign there and my vocal warnings. Ramlösa hälsobrunn är en svensk hälsobrunn grundad den 17 juni 1707 av Johan Jacob Döbelius. Brunnen byggdes upp kring en järnbrunn som Döbelius undersökt 1701, 1705 och 1706. Under 1700-talet ökade hälsobrunnens anseende och besöktes av gäster från både Sverige och Danmark. Ramlösa brunn hade sin storhetsperiod i början av 1800-talet, då flera medlemmar av kungafamiljen och personer ur adeln regelbundet besökte anläggningen. I slutet av 1890-talet fann man en ny och mineralrikare alkalisk källa, vilket blev starten för det buteljerade vattnet och det moderna Ramlösaföretaget.
