I wish I could give 10 stars! Or a million! A group of 5 of us were traveling in Scandinavia and I had my heart set on visiting Målilla because my family came from there. There didn’t look to be much to do in Målilla until I found this place. We planned to visit and left Copenhagen early in the morning to arrive at the park before it closed. Unfortunately our car rental and travel time took much longer and I saw we were not going to arrive in time. I message the owner to see if there was any way to still come and see the place and she wrote back! She let us come after hours and gave us a personal tour! She was so informational, kind, inviting and accommodating! The grounds were beautiful and the Moose! It was one of the most unique and once in a life time kind of opportunity! She let us feed the moose and take as long as we wanted to look at them. She answered all our questions and was so patient with our overly excited selves! I highly recommend visiting this moose park. She and her family are true care givers of people and animals! I am so thankful to her for this opportunity!! Also, we were a group of 30 year olds! No kids! But this place made you feel like...
Read moreGreat Park with Moose to touch! We went on a weekday, it wasn’t very crowded. The staff was very friendly! The guy who made the tour knew a lot about the moose and shared many interesting information about the moose in the park. We saw nine moose in total and got to feed and pet them! You get really up close to the moose which is nice! The tour is about 1 km but easy to walk. Also accessible to strollers. You can go the way without the tour as well, but I would definitely recommend the tour! The tour-guy also spoke very good German and answered all our questions! Thanks for that! :)
You can get coffee, drinks, snacks and ice cream, as well as some souvenirs.
There is a small playground for kids and a goat enclosure where you can go in to feed and pet the goats. There were a lot of baby goats when...
Read moreVery nice place. And I'll just explain why I can't give it top marks:
We had a guide who asked about where we were from so he knew which languages to speak, we told him Denmark and then he said he would start with German. He never switched to Swedish or English, even after we interrupted after 15 min to make him aware we didn't speak German (and he joked that we should know that instead of learning Spanish or other useless languages - which we don't even speak). He said a couple of things in English and then continued in German for most of the time. It was a little unfortunate, but the place in itself was great and we met other very sweet people working in th shop etc.
Be aware you won't be on a "bus", you will be walking approx 1km...
