This is a somewhat outdated and very pricy setup. Our combination ticket, including all attractions, for 3 adults and two five year olds, cost more than SEK 1000. This included an IMAX cinema ticket.
The centre is nice and contains a number of setups which are really quite nice for kids 5-10 years. There are a number of interactive computer game style setups using greenscreens so that you can interact and immerse into the experience - I am sure this was state of the art in 1999 when the centre opened, but now in the age of xbox kinect, eye toy and the nintendo wee, it feels pretty tired and outdated.
The IMAX film was from the early nineties and felt really rather old - the simulations and VFX felt extremely outdated and with a ticket priced at SEK 90, this is pretty outrageous.
In summary, the problem here is the price - you don't get what you pay for. The place is nice, a bit tired but nice, however the entrance fee is...
Read moreThe permanent exhibits are interesting but a little aging. There are some nice interactives but many are broken or not working properly (one of the remote-controlled boats, the water power station in the park, the mouth-like musical instrument, among others). The dinosaur exhibit was great for my 4 year-old! He loved the animated robots, the digging, shadow theater and painting activities. But for older kids it might be a little boring. Besides these activities the exhibit itself does not have much interaction or information. I felt a lack of docents/educators to give out information, help us use the interactives or present special activities. I was not told about the fossil hunting that took place outside when we entered, which was a real shame, I only saw it when it was too late! In summary, we had a great time but many things could...
Read moreAmazing experience for my daughters. At least 4 hours needed. The movie shown about how the eye works was way to heavy though. Not sure why they choose that movie for kids. I had a hard time following how all the different cells in the eye function on a molecular level, or how level jumps in hydrogen electrons send out different frequencies of energy in space. :D But besides that, a great place for my...
