En historisk betydelsefull plats, här byggdes en försvarbart 1361- 1365 Valdemar Atterdag? Borgen omnämndes första gången 1366 och var viktigt för danskarna. Första borgen förstördes 1436. Idag syns inga rester endast en stor öppen yta uppe på höjden med utsikt mot Kalmarsund, Ölands södra spets samt mot Kalmar håller (Kalmar slott). Den här troligen varit omgiven av vallgravar och bestått av träpalissad, med sten eller trätorn
