First stop on our road trip - Söderåsen Nationalpark.

Enjoyed about 24 hours there, with a sleep in the car over night.

Very tranquil and amazing greenery. Some fantastic view points which overlook the valley and way over to the horizon in the distance.

Nice and easy walking routes, well marked in coloured spots.

We walked on every route/trail, about 20+km walking, we covered pretty much the entire area.

A very nice walk in the forest I would say.. one website had described it as ‘Skåne’ (Southern region of Sweden)’s ‘Grand Canyon’ - I have never been to Arizona or America... But I don’t think you can compare the two. 😂

We were lucky with the weather and the beautiful sun accentuated, the fantastic spring colours of the nature...

A breathtaking escape into nature! Söderåsen National Park is truly a hidden gem in southern Sweden. The scenery is absolutely stunning—lush forests, dramatic cliffs, and peaceful streams everywhere you look. The hiking trails are well-marked and range from easy walks to more challenging routes, so there’s something for everyone. I highly recommend the Skäralid valley hike and the lookout point at Kopparhatten—the views are unforgettable!

The park is very well maintained, with clean rest areas and helpful maps. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing day in nature, a family picnic, or a solo hiking adventure. I left feeling refreshed and recharged. If you’re in Skåne, Söderåsen is...

Nice natural park reserve where we enjoyed a 7 km walk cicle wslk ong the river. The path in the beginnh is well maintained with wooden parhways over muddy areas. However lateron is is lesser maintained. We came along a stretch with fallen trees and we had to cross the river twice to pass this blocked section. Also thereafter is is a stretch with rocks where the walker needs to have a good balance. Upon reaching the end of this blue marked trail you cross the river over a bridge and thereafter one needs to climb a steep hill to reach the ridge for the walk back to the entrance. Overall a very rewarding walk, but this walk and its terrain is not suitable...
