Even though it's located in the flat side of Sweden, Vallåsen Bike Park is a great place to get good enduro and DH vibes, The trails are good and adapted to all levels, from beginner to DH addicts. The new green trail "Loas Gröna" is a well built flowy trail accessible to everybody, and fun even for more advanced bikers. My only criticism about Vallåsen Bike Park goes to the lift system, or more precisely to how you carry your bike on it. It seems they adapted it in a rush to hang bikes on the sides of the gondolas. Although I never had problem using it, I don't feel comfortable when I see my mtb hanging 20m from the ground, held by a small protruding steel tube that goes under the saddle. Not talking about the fact that not everybody is fit or agile enough to quickly grab their bike from the hanger when they reach the top, and quickly clear the path. If you don't feel comfortable using the gondolas, you will have even more fun trying the anchor lift! Hopefully they may install a better system to carry the bikes someday, The good thing is that there is always personal to assist people who need help with the lifts. Also have to mention that the team at Vallåsen is always helpful and friendly....

The V-Line trail is very beginner-friendly and you can roll over every obstacle and can pull off for a break when you get too tired. The lift lines are very short, and the staff is very welcoming to beginners. No snooty big-ego riders here that I could see... everyone was just happy to be riding.
The online bike reservation system is not user-friendly at all (often will crash and require you to clear cookies), but if you can make it through, you won't be disappointed. In addition to the 24" bikes, they have a couple 20" bikes also for smaller riders!!! I found out that you need to ask them during their business hours about those since they aren't...
Read moreUnquestionably the best downhill / MTB singletrack place for Copenhageners - Isaberg is not too far and good if you're bringing kids with you and need more than just shredding the trails.
But Vallåsen beats Isaberg in terms of tracks, there are more tracks and they're longer and more varied in features from start to finish.
Isaberg has a great pump track and a jump track along with some trails for absolute beginners with zero incline, as well as more challenging several minutes long climbs on even terrain.
But still - Vallåsen's tracks are just fun...
