Norrbottens Järnvägsmuseum — Attraction in Luleå kommun

I visited the Railway Museum in Luleå and I was truly impressed. The exhibition was excellent, with beautiful models of locomotives displayed inside the museum. The exhibits, uniforms, and the history of the local railway line were captivating, making me feel like I had stepped back in time. The locomotives exhibited in the hangars made a particular impression on me - I was amazed that you could get a look at most of them from underneath and even step inside the locomotive cab, which made me feel like I was at the controls. On one hand it was great to see and feel some of the trains from the past, but the place feels short on ambitions making it a bit more exclusive to the people who are already in the railways topic, rather than being good enough to spark a new interest in you. Starting with a very accessible fee of 60 SEK for the entrance, the exhibition consists of 3 halls and outdoor "junkyard" of various wagons in different condition that is free to enter. The indoor expedition is good, a lot of information and many locomotives and different cars. There is even a working cab to get the feeling how it is to use all the switches and knobs.
