Great treatment upon arrival, professional guides, Most of the equipment needed is included in the trip and provided, loving cooperation/relationship between dogs and guides(big family), good food. (Easy, Relaxing, Fun for the whole family) This is a great experience and I highly recommend it.
More detailed review below.
Well, at first I was at a loss of words, it has taken a few days for the experience to sink in. We have heard of tours like this and I have seen company's use the animals that they have on their tours like assets.
So I would like to point out a few great things among many that stand out and makes this tour one of the top of the pack, especially when it comes to Erik & Sanne, their helpers, the wonderful dogs and their company "Yellow Snow Husky Tours".
(Arrival.) One of the first things that stands out is the treatment you receive upon arrival. You get a warm relaxed welcome and its more of a feeling at home.
(Equipment) Some tours want you to bring most if not all the equipment needed for the trip, but not here, I would like to say that you can arrive in just Jeans & T-shirt "Not recommended". But if you don't have (overalls, socks, shoes, gloves, jacket) then they have got you covered! As an extra, no need for a camera! The guide asks for your e-mail adress and will do their best to takes photos for you, so you can relax and enjoy the experience
(The dogs) Have to say, that the wonderful personalities I met when we got out, before going on the sleds was awesome, if you are the only one there you are greeted with about 30+ happy, barking, running, tail wagging dogs, either it is (Tyson the ego "I want everyone for myself" old man) or (Nurik the energetic, social "I wanna run now" youngster). You will also get a chance to get a brush up from the (I want to cuddle) blind sled veteran Moland. To name a few.
(The cooperation between man and dog) Like I said in the beginning this is one of the best things about "Yellow Snow Husky Tours" The thing that stands out first is the affection and good relationship between the guides and the dogs. Its a warm fluffy family feeling to see the dogs and the people interact. The first thing you get to do is familiarize yourself with the dogs that are gonna pull your sled, you get to help to put on the harness and position the dogs at their place in the pull line. (A lot of petting is always a +).
(The trip) Another thing is that you get to drive the sled yourself not just ride. You get good instructions from the guide, the guide is always in front helping you with the speed, route, stopping to let the dogs rest and taking pictures of you. All you need to do is follow the instructions and enjoy the ride.
(To sum up it all) Me and my wife, we had a great experience, Sanne is a wonderful chef, baker and Erik is a guy that can do a lot of things, great at answering questions, an awesome guide, sled instructor, coffee maker, dog handler. Love the dogs, their personalities and the people of Yellow Snow Husky Tours. Thank you! We...
Read moreI really want to thanks Yellow Snow Husky Tours for their amazing hospitality and for a magical experience. I also apologize for taking such a long time to get to this.
I wholeheartedly recommend this company. If you are anywhere near this company just give them call because they will look after you!
We planned our trip to Northern Sweden at the very last minute and there was no availability at most of the companies. In addition we wanted to bring our 4 year old son. This company went above and beyond and made my young son feel so welcome and have an enjoyable time.
Sanne was so responsive and kind on the emails and helped us set the trip up. Our hosts were Lotte, Nanna, Sem. Our drivers were Nanna and Sem and they were so awesome. Lotte worked a lot with the dogs and getting us all setup. We can’t thank you enough. This was a very special experience for our family.
They made us feel welcome and were thoroughly entertaining. Once again they went to a lot of effort to make my son feel completely at ease and he loved every minute of it and still talks about the experience a few months later.
I wish you all the best for the future. Nona and Sam. Good luck with vet school and the future! Lotte good luck with your move to Sweden. Sanne all the best with the business. The next time we visit Sweden I hope to do a multi day trip.
Definitely choose Yellow Snow Husky tours for your next Dog Sled Adventure. They really are a well deserved 5 star family business who put their passion and love...
Read moreIt´s almost one month ago, since we did a three-day husky tour at Yellow Snow Husky, but still doesn´t pass no one day, that we would not think of this wonderful experience. It was for both of us the first-time dog sleighing and I have to admit, that I was a little bit scared, because I had no idea what I can expect and I was not sure at all, that I am able to drive a sleigh and keep under control the dogs. But Sanne and Eric gave us detailed and clear instructions, and everything was working just fine. After few km there was no freight anymore, we were getting better and better in driving and we really started to enjoy the tour, wild nature and of course company of our dogs. Sanne was taking care with her self-prepared delicious food, that we stayed fit, and having an open fire for lunch time was really something special. I love nature, I love animals, but I was never feeling so close to the dogs as during this three-day tour. They are amazing, so full of power and kindness and they can give so much love. We could learn from them, how simple and joyful the life can be. We can say, that this was an unforgettable experience and we can just recommend it to everyone, who would like to try something special and feel in contact with our wonderful...
