The most wonderful home/museum in Dalarna. The home of Anders and Emma Zorn (maiden name of Emma: Lamm). The house is so personal and so unbelievably beautiful in both interiors such as the exterior. I am sure most of you knows a bit about Anders, so I will write a bit about Emma - Her heartful and humane personnel politics made her ahead of her time. She lived on 22 years after the passing of Anders and her wish that their home would be transformed into a museum turned into reality only 6 months after Emma left this earth in january 1942. The interior is still exactly the way it was when she died which makes it very real and also a bit sad. Her medicine tray is still there, by her bed, you can see how the water have vaporized and left white marks on the inside of the glass. His work is fascinating in respect to light and colour, especially if you have spent time in Sweden and experienced the unique colours and luminosity of the sky in the summer. They also have a great selection of art and other artifacts he collected, like the doorway of one of the oldest homes in Sweden (c. 1288) with pagan designs carved into the wood, a runic calendar, and Roman antiquites.
