Naturum Stendörren — Attraction in Nyköpings kommun

Naturum is a nice place to visit. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. When we arrived they were presenting a few little "monsters" of the underwater world of Stendörrens naturreservat. The place has a lot of information about the nature reserve and its' inhabitants. It is also possible to grab a coffee or tea there. By the water you can see many beautiful jellyfish and there are also a few friendly sheep in the pasture that enjoy being scratched.

The only thing that highly disturbed me was a poor jellyfish in an aquarium inside the building. It's body was torn on the leaves below the filter. Apparently, the current was too strong for the jellyfish, which was pushed on the leaves and torn apart. If you capture living creatues, you are responsible for their life and well-being. Take...

I had a long and nice review with five stars here! But because this place is not maintaining the access road they are a losing their 5-star rating down to A negative 5 if It would be possible! The worst rode I have ever driven! I thought my car would break into a million pieces!

I do not recommend anyone to visit this place as long as they are so cheap they cannot maintain the gravel road!

Beautiful nature park, great for walking, hiking, swimming, boating and learning about local nature. Do the nature questions from parking lot to the nature house by the water and get the answers there. Interesting and fun for all ages! You can bring food and cook it on the grill for a picnic.
