Blå Jungfrun nationalpark — Attraction in Oskarshamns kommun

The boat to Blue Virgo goes from Byxelkrok on Öland or from Oskarshamn on the mainland and takes about 1 hour per singel trip. It takes about 3 hours to walk the hiking trail of 3.5 km including up to the top at 86 meters, so it’s not a walk in the park. To walk through the labyrinth is said to be auspicious. The small island is not as flat as it seems, so you'll have some beautiful views over Kalmar Strait. First you see a blueish dome out in the sea, when you get closer, you see the beautiful rounded, red granite that Blå Jungfrun is made of. The island is larger and higher than you think, with beautiful views upon the Baltic Sea, rocky trails through ancient pine and decidious woods, large boulders and an unusual beach with beautiful rounded pebbles. The stone labyrinth is really mysterious and of course we tried to get to the end for a portion of luck. :) The Nationalpark rangers were very welcoming...

Mäktig Ö! Väldigt häftigt att det är så olika terräng här. Väldigt kalt med växter på sina ställen och längre bort blir det skog. Fin led att vandra och väldigt bra och givande att det fanns guider på plats som berättade välbehövlig info innan man gick iväg. Fräscha utedass som fanns på 3 ställen och även papperskorgar så man kunde slänga skräp. Fin utsikt från toppen. Tyvärr lite dyrt att åka över men...
