Hedlunda husky — Attraction in Robertsfors kommun

Professional, family run and friendly dog sleigh touring. We were as many as 13 people but due to the many dogs and smooth organization we were all able to take as many runs as we wanted. Very well organized.

You learn how to steer the dog sleigh yourself ( even the kids 8 n 10 years old !) in a few minutes and it’s great fun to swerve fast in the beautiful snowy fields.

We took the 2.5hrs which we found was suitable for a family. They serve Plenty of good coffee/tea/chocolate plus hot dogs ( vegan as well) and delicious Västerbottencheesewraps by the open fire. The owner speaks perfect English.

The charming kids also introduced us to the cute horses on the premises. The children also loved to cuddle and feed the kind and calm dogs.

It’s great for families but also for foreign visitors. The evening tour during aurora borealis season must be wonderful.

Our visit to the husky kennel was an unforgettable experience! We had the chance to learn how to drive a dog sled through a beautiful, snowy landscape. The frosty weather added authenticity to the adventure, and warming up by the campfire after thrilling rides was the perfect way to end the day.

Super fun, felt like being wrapped in a family reunion, It wasn't hard to find the place, takes around 50 minutes by car from Umea, but you can reach the place by bus too. The dogs were lovely but not as much as the friendly owners! They take care of you and make sure that you learn how to ride before starting running. The warm Glögg, tea and snacks were well-appreaciated after being in the cold for a while, 10/10 will recommend...
