Very impressive museum, not the biggest but more than enough for a worthwhile visit. It's unbelievable how massive the airplanes are, and you can get very close.
The simulator is a MUST and truly incredible, if you have the slightest interest in jets and flying. Can not compare to a videogame.
You sit in a real Viggen cockpit with 100% working instruments, even the stick shaker if you stall the plane! Together with a panorama like display it really is impressive, how bumps and small hills are identical to the real world for example. You can turn your head 90° degrees while turning the plane and see the horizon.

Read moreA very interesting aircraft museum containing mostly Saab fighter jets that were stationed at F15 base from 1946 to 1998. The volunteers here have done a wonderful job of restoring and maintaining the aircraft. You can climb the ladders to look inside the cockpits. They have good displays around the jets to explain all details including the daily operations. It is good for the children as they have aircraft toys to keep them entertained. If your a fan of the earlier days of jet powered flight there is lots to take in. You can really get a sense of what the base was like in its operational days! The gift shop is well stocked too!
