Österlens museum ligger mitt i stan och är inrymt i det gamla sädesmagasinet Hafreborg som tillhör den Björkegrenska gården. Här huserade en gång köpmans- och redarfamiljen Björkegren som uppförde gården vid mitten av 1800-talet.Utställningarna och programverksamheten tar utgångspunkt i det österlenska, från forntiden och fram till idag. Utifrån det lokala görs fördjupningar och utblickar. Museet är känt för sin unika textilsamling bl a med en stor mängd frihandsknypplad spets.I museets nyrenoverade lokaler kan man under hösten delta i föreläsningar, gå kurser, titta på utställningar, dricka kaffe, lyssna på historier berättade på mål och...
