Haväng — Attraction in Simrishamns kommun

This is quite a fascinating place. As you walk down from the parking lot there is an ancient burial site, and to the right you can use the boardwalk to cross over a small river as it opens up to the sea. There is miles of beautiful beach and coastline dotted with concrete WW2 concrete bunkers. The site also is also right next to a Swedish military live fire training location so depending on when you visit, your stroll along the beach may come with a soundtrack of automatic rifle fire with occasional booms from...

Vi hade spetsat in oss på ett par sommardagar i tält på Österlen och fick tips om Ravlunda Skjutfält och Haväng. Vi parkerade bilen vid vägen närmst havet och gick de sista ca 400 metrarna ner till krönet innan det blir brant ner mot havet. Det var mitt i juli och vi hade den närmsta tältgrannen 50 meter bort så knappast trångt men helt magisk plats med vidsträckt utsikt över Östersjön med solnedgången i ryggen. Stranden är helt fantastisk och man tänker snarare på Medelhavet eller Karibien än Sverige även om vattnet är lite kallare... Vill du ha nära till vattnet kan du parkera vid STFs vandrarhem och gå på träspång ner till stranden. Där finns även toaletter, soptunnor och enklare café...
