We were here for three days and paid a fortune for a small hut at First Camp, two days for the tickets at Skara. This park was insanely disappointing compared to Leksand Sommarland. You only need 1 day to explore this park! Do not buy tickets for more days!
Due to our smallest child being 4 (100cm), there wasn’t much he could do here, he’d spend most of his time watching his bigger sister (7) go on the rides and wallow that he couldn’t. She couldn’t do much either.
The main “street” with the lottery stands and shops is worn down, it urgently needs a repaint (the whole park does actually) and the food stands within the park seemed to be terrible based on some reactions and comments we heard going around, and in all sincerity by the looks of it for the price.
The teenage workers reflect the park perfectly with dismissive attitude and overall laziness, it looked like most of them were 15-18 y.o, uneducated about the park and careless whether you liked it or not - simply doing their time for their pennies.
The cotton candy girl looked awfully mad like she was about to pop if one more person would step into the line on her turn.
The bigger Tivoli rides were fun but I’d say the metal creaking sounds reflect the age of the park yet again, some rides were rusty, and some were really sharp to ride to the point you’d hit your knees or sides and be left with some post-ride pain. Some people might love it but I woke up with a sore right side after being abused by them. Some attractions were closed.
bathrooms were maintained at some places and there were lifeguards present
The waterpark slides were fun but queue time was LONG for the short opening hours and then again there was not much for the kids except the little water playground that was a bit too dangerous for a 4 year old. And we would also wonder why’d they put a waterpark ride (Newton) that makes you soaking wet, with all the other DRY Tivoli rides and attractions at the front of the park. People would literally run across from the waterpark in their swimwear to ride just this ride.
Some attractions come with additional costs which is stupid considering the park has tickets! Bad!
The carps and ducks in the area are very friendly and could be pet and picked up with ease, but I think you should put up some signs to show people they can’t be fed. We saw plenty of no-brainers feeding them cotton candy, normal candy and bread just for their kids to have a little giggle! Stupid!
On this topic - there are WAY too many carps in the water. They are an invasive species and can be environment-damaging when over-flocked, seeing so many has left us with thoughts whether or not this is legal. It is concerning. Should be reported.
We will not come back. Do not recommend. This is a boring place that empties your wallet. It needs a rework before it can be called...

Would recommend Stora Ekeberg vandrarhem, just as close but better in every way including price. Parking fee. We didn't need two days in the park. You will get the second day half price if you buy the tickets at the same time, and if you can afford it, sure. We did two half days where we spent the sunniest in the water park and the other at the tivoli. But we didn't need two full days. You cannot enjoy the water park without buying a locker for your phone and bag, and that's 150 SEK. Beware of extra costs for certain rides. Tickets for kids over 100 cm cost same as adult, but there is plenty they can't do. Honestly, park is not so good for small kids. Ten yos and older will enjoy it more.
Otherwise, the ups and downs in our opinions: Friendly staff. Wave pool was super fun! (And quite dangerous, it is deep.) Playground was perfect for underaged climbers. Teenagers seemed highly entertained in water park. Nice little train going around the area. Bubble machines, music, actors walking around the area - such things made it feel more special. Easy to refill water bottles.
Many rides and attractions, including water park are just too scary for many people. Baby pool slides were therefore filled with older kids. Lack of low-adrenalin fun. Ques to restaurants and ice cream were ridiculous upon park closure. Park is difficult to navigate. Try planning your visit and study the map if you don't want to miss out on anything special. Park is non-unique. You don't have to come here in particular, unless it's...
Read moreWe camped there in a small family cabin and a tent. We used the facilities a lot because our cabin had no running water. The facilities were not as clean and tidy or as modern as we expected, though the ones near the entrance were much better. The children enjoyed the trampoline flipping amenity and also played the small mini golf at the campground (both we had to pay extra for). We were pleasantly surprised with the water park attractions and enjoyed a couple of the theme park rides. The carnival game areas (again, you pay extra for these) were unimpressive. Our travel companion'child actually won the prize on one of the games, and everyone cheered, but the attendant refused to give the child the prize, it was a nightmare and completely ruined their experience- sounds petty, but the attendant was awful and claimed that despite the success, that he saw it vibrate a little so it didnt qualify- however the rules did not state that- and the attendant even read them aloud rudely, with the whole crowd of spectators booing him... and he was definitely in the wrong. Such a simple thing, but to a child it just ruins the vibe. Anyway, there were many attractions that were closed down, one of which was a highlight, so we were a little disappointed about that. Otherwise, we had...
