Very good quality museum for people interested in tanks and war time vehicles. Place is very easy to find, and your driving license should be confiscated if you manage to drive past this place without seeing big white tank at the side of the road. There are five permanent sections (basic exhibition) of vehicles and special exhibition of vehicles replaced from time to time.

Great selection of vehicles in good condition that you could walk around and study.
There was even a cut-through T-55 tank so that you could view the inside and see the thickness of the armour.
Many cool historic facts and showcases to teach those who might not be to invested in the subject. I’d go there again if I could!
The place was smaller than I expected, but only in literal size. There were still plenty of informative texts and displays as well as a well put together path through the ages of Swedish and foreign tank development. They even had an upper flor with open roof so that you could look down at the different tanks from above.
I also got to see my favourite tank in real life for the first time, the Pz.38(t).
Absolutely loved the place! High quality, amazing roster and...
Read moreArsenalen is Swedens biggest defence vehicle museum and is located just outside the town Strängnäs. The museum will take you on a tour from pre WW1 to modern times and current tanks and vehicles. A lot off the exhibits are prototypes of which several never went into production giving you an insight to some unique vehicles. There is also an exhibition on the local regiment as well as how their life and living looked like and how they made a living in peace times. There is a nice cafe and a nice children's section. They often have theme days, guided tours and rides to give you a flavour of the vehicles when in motion. A great family museum you can spend a...
