A great place for kids!
There's pirates, fun rides and much more to be experienced here, you can easily stay a full day not coming close to being bored. I went with my sister's kids and they loved it! Kids are not easily bored here, especially with the pirate actors walking around the park in full pirate gear talking to and going on rides with the kids. There's also a pirate theater! They put on a good show for the kids, smoke, songs and a bit of mystery all neatly wrapped in comedy. They also involve the kids, asking questions and tossing water.
My only gripe with Daftöland is that the rides barely fit a grown man.... I had to sit sideways in som rides, took up legspace for two on some. It's not the worst thing but some rides have a bar you pull down so you don't fall out, it's fine for me but if i sit next to a child they are not as protected as they would be if they were with someone of similar size. The rollercoaster they have, way too small for my poor legs...
The food is good for a place like this, i expected worse than i got and the staff in the restaurant was really nice. I managed to get an adult portion of pancakes, which is not on the menu, for the price of a children's portion, which is on the menu. 👍😁
So, after having driven the bumper cars, going up against pirates(!) I recommend that you visit Daftöland, but know that it is not a big amusement park, it is a small park with a few rides and games, perfect for a family looking to have lots of fun on the best coast of Sweden.
Full disclosure 😊 Since i also work in tourism, i received my...
Read moreDaftöland is a quite peqliar story in my opinion. As far as I recall, it started as a normal playground at Daftö camping, and in the early 90s (my memory not always trustworthy) it was extended to include an open-air theatre, at the same time it got some pirate-themed play-areas. From there it has steadily snowballed to what now is a smallish, but very descent fairground, still keeping a lot of playground-elements. I visited late in the season on a nice sunny day, so it was not overly crowded. The park is clean and web with the dry summer, much of the foliage seem to survive. There's a consistent pirate-theme going through the park with live actors rummaging around when not hosting the three o'clock family show. Like much if the Daftö rresort, it doesn't feel too "plasticky" and comes across as almost subtle. There us extensive use of wood, stone and things blend in quite well with the landscape. All rides and the theatre is included in the entrance fee, which is quite affordable for a full day out, there is a descent selection of food and drinks, these are also not too pricey. All in all I find that I enjoy this park, and although some might find it a bit on the small side, I think it offers good...
Prisen for parkentré: Dette trekker desverre litt ned.
